My little house in the outer mission is full of light , oozing with charm and very comfortable. The guest bedroom has a double bed with nice cotton bedding, hardwood floors with a cheery rug, drawers to unpack your things, a view of the backyards, houses and trees out the window. There's art on the walls, wireless, tv, everything you need. It's quiet too.
The little house has a nice open kitchen if you like to make snacks etc. The kitchen opens to the living room where there's a big tv with cable, sound system and even a turn table for my vinyl loving friends. You are welcome to relax here. There's a shared bathroom with a shower and tub and lots of bath products! You can take a nice soak in the tub with bath salts after a busy day touring. There's also a nice backyard. BBQ anyone?
The location is in the outer Mission, not too far, and walking distance to public transportation. Not too far from the Glen Park BART. This is a great location if you're planning to rent a car as the parking is free and easy and it's very close to the 280 freeway. It's ideal if you're going south to some tech campuses like (website hidden) for instance. There is a supercool Asian Market a few blocks away on Mission, but since the house is in a residential neighborhood there are not many convenience stores. I keep a big supply of coffee, tea and toast to get the morning started. If you have a special request just let me know.
Transportation from SFO airport is easy and if you want to take BART to Glen Park Station I can probably pick you up.
I really like it here and I hope you will too. Be advised that it's quiet here, probably no sirens, no screaming hookers or drunk kids having a good time. Well on the outside at least!
Lydia was gracious, caring and hospitable. Would definitely stay again and even have a cup of coffee. Thank you
What a beautiful experience. The home and room are beautiful, comfortable and a perfect location for San Fran exploring. Lydia was so helpful and giving and lovely to be with and chat. My whole stay was relaxed and easy going with all the comforts of home.
There is really nothing to complain about. A nice person with a nice home in which you get the privilege to spend a few days. Thanks to her I finally figured out baseball, kind of. Highly recommended.
Couldn't be better. Beautiful clean house in a great location, so easy to get anywhere in SF, Muni just at the door, a fabulous host, always ready to help and with great sense of humour. Fabulous value for money.
My stay with Lydia has been a brilliant experience. She is a very knowledgeable, welcoming and entertaining host, while respecting your privacy. The house and room are very comfy and ideally located t access all parts of the city. The nearest bus stop to town is a ten minute walk and has bus 14 going to the ferry house, 49 terminating close to Fort Mason and 23 going to the Pacific coast next to the Zoo.
I would definitely stay with Lydia again and highly recommend this place.
Lydia was a lovely host. Wonderful decorations and her home was very cozy. She was kind enough to let me store some equipment I was traveling with in the garage, shared a great running trail that I enjoyed , and let me do a late checkout to accommodate my schedule. Would definitely rent again!
My stay with Lydia was lovely! Her place is quite homey and quirky; I felt at home in the room she provided. I'm someone who really values quiet time alone and I don't really enjoy the impersonal feeling of hotels -- so this was a good fit. Lydia herself was friendly and generous with her space and respectful of me as a guest. The room and amenities were clean and cozy. If you're someone who takes public transportation, like I do -- be aware, it was ~15-20 minute walk to the closest BART station; closest bus was much closer. If you're a car renter, the freeway is very close by.
My stay with Lydia was a very good experience. The room is clean and comfortable, as is the rest of the house. The house itself is located in a mainly residential area so you have to take the bus to the more "touristy-areas", however Lydia is more than happy to help you out and give information about the public transportation and recommendations for places to see. Lydia is open and easy to talk to and staying in her house is a nice experience when visiting San Francisco.
Lydia was the hostess with the mostest! Her living space made me feel right at home. There are many beautiful things for your eyes to ogle. The room was perfect. Just the right size and coziness that I was able to sleep without a hitch. The linens smelled really great too!! The bathroom and kitchen were awesome!! I was able to have full access to the kitchen and fridge!! Parking was really convenient and her place is a short walk to the local transit!! It was truly my favorite air bnb experience. We talked almost everyday before we went about our daily activities and she hipped me to some cool spots in the neighborhood as well as suggestions on where I should stop on my way back down to Long Beach. It was a definitely great experience. I would definitely stay with Lydia again on my next San Francisco adventure! Book her now! You won't regret it!!
Ok, so let's cut to the point right there : experience really positive, the house as well as Lydia, the hostess, are awesome !
Now, the facts : the house is perfectly located in the Mission district, really convenient as the freeway is very close but it is also easy by bus. It seems that the BART is not far either, even if I have not tried that. The house includes a kitchen, a living room, the bedroom of course, the bathroom and a little garden. Wifi's working.
The house in its overall was perfectly clean and tidy. The bed was also clean, and so was the bathroom. I may add that sometimes (I am a big Airbnb user), the houses are ok but not especially appealing. There, I found the house decoration done with a very good taste and it was definitely more impressive, cheerful and sophiscated than in the average Airbnb house. Good work on the decoration Lydia !
As for the hostess, if you think the house is the strong point, stop right there ! Lydia is a very fun, joyful, full of energy woman : she welcomed me with a beer and helped me in so many ways ! Looking for a bar ? She got it. Looking for a restaurant ? Got it. Where are the buses ? Got it. A swimming pool ? She knows.
I can add that the Granola and teas for breakfast were delicious.
I recommand definitely this place. Thank you Lydia !
