Our visit to Roseberry Farm B&B was beyond our expectations.
The indoor space was huge. We had a big bedroom with a soaker tub and huge TV. There was a big living room and dining room. More than enough room for a couple.
We loved all the animals on the farm. Friendly dogs, chickens, ducks, sheep and baby lambs and alpaca.
Maureen was so friendly. Had such great chats. She spoiled us with an outside fire to roast marsh mellows and an indoor fire to cozy up to. The breakfast was huge and delicious. Her homemade banana break for our afternoon snack was so good. We ate it all.
Highly recommended and can't wait to come back.
We arrived with the three dogs' happy welcome. Very friendly host, awesome breakfast (especially toasted potato and banana loaf ), really large house. We visited the farm next afternoon and the host told us many interesting stories. We played with sheep, alpacas, and chicken( during break fast we ate the eggs they lay ). Besides the big farm, there is also a clean pool behind. It is definitely a wonderful place to relax. And there is a piano. Wow
Maureen was welcoming and friendly. The B&B area is huge! There's a large library/reading room with wood stove, a room that serves as the kitchen/eating area, a large bedroom with Jacuzzi bath, and a bathroom. The suite is private with its own entrance. And if that wasn't enough, there's a hot tub off the porch! The covered porch wraps around the house and provides views of the duck pond and mountains in the distance. You can't help but relax here.
The farm has alpacas, sheep that come when they're called, chickens that roam and two very friendly dogs. Maureen will introduce you if you are interested, and tell you the stories of the animals, the farm, and the neighbourhood. It's just 10 minutes from Mission so was the ideal spot -- not right in town, but not too far to drive.
I was visiting Mission to see my 87 year old mother-in-law living in a seniors' residence, and Maureen encouraged me to bring her out to see the dogs and farm. As it turned out we weren't able to visit, but that's an indicator of the way Maureen extends herself to guests. She is warm, helpful, and makes extra efforts to ensure that your stay is wonderful. I expect to be back in the future!
What a warm (wood stove!), comfortable and relaxing place to spend some time. My partner and I were able to re-energize on a weekend away from Vancouver while staying at Roseberry Farm Bed and Breakfast. They had an amazing breakfast (farm fresh eggs!) and food while we there. We were able to explore Mission and Maple Ridge which was one of our goals of the trip. Maureen and Ken were the ideal hosts; teaching us all about the area, showing us their amazing property and introducing us to the friendly dogs, chickens, sheep, ducks and alpacas they have. Exactly what we were looking for! Hopefully will get a chance to return. Highly recommend.
Maureen made our stay so welcoming. She was very intent on introducing us to her whole farm - the dogs, chickens, sheep, and alpacas. She really wanted us, including our dog, to be at home. She succeeded! She outdid herself with large and delicious morning breakfasts, which was above and beyond what we expected. The large ensuite rooms gave us more than enough to spread out. We really felt that we had her large place to ourselves. Thank you, Maureen!
Maureen was an incredible, friendly and sweet host. My husband and I were warmly welcome by her and all her friendly animals (Tika, Rosco, the alpacas, ducks etc). She took the time to walk with us through the property and make a great introduction of the place. The location of the farm is on a quiet spot, but closes enough to the highway 7 to get around easily to Kilby, Harrison Lake and other amazing places. The suite was arranged with many beautiful details, antiques and unique pieces make us feel at home. She also provides a self serve food system with many delicious bake fresh goodies, fruits and bread. In addition she has binders full of information of places to visit and places to eat. Everything in this wonderful place is well thought and a lots of details that really make the difference. If you really want a getaway close to Vancouver and surrounded by nature, definitely Roseberry Farm is the place to come. Thank you so much Maureen for everything. Your service, hospitality, food, details and your great company is definitely something to consider and we would love to come back.
Our favorite destination these days is Atlantic Canada, but that is probably because we have one our kids going to school there now. Each time we visit we come home more impressed by Maritime Hospitality and the beauty of the East Coast. We are attempting to becoming serious farmers again, 4 sheep just arrived and in a year we will be breeding them. chickens are coming soon!
