Interaction with Guests
Interaction with guests is welcomed when assistance is required. Access to your room is through the family area and I usually greet you in the mornings and evenings. Occasionally when my timetable permits, we have a shared meal if you want to participate, but it is not compulsory. In my experience as a host I have found that some people want to have interaction with the family while others prefer to be left to enjoy their time alone. I try to respect guests' wishes in that regard.

About the Host, Joanne
I am married with 3 children and 1 grandchild. Two of my children have left home now but we enjoy getting together for meals. Rory, our son, is still at uni and lives in the cottage to the rear of the house. My first grandchild is two and we hope to spend time with him enjoying his early years and beyond. My husband is a professional who works from a home office and I run the office for him. I am also a volunteer Art Gallery guide at the State Art Gallery.I am a trained primary school teacher and an ESL teacher. I like to cook interesting food, especially Indian/Persian/Mediterranean, when I have the time. I love books, art, reading, walking, riding my bike, travelling and meeting people from around the world.
We rise early, so tend to be in bed by 11pm (12pm on Friday and Saturday) and would prefer if guests feel the same about evening retiring times. There is flexibility regarding flight times of course. You are welcome to sleep in!
We started hosting in September 2012 and are enjoying it very much. We have met some very interesting and friendly guests.
