Modern home, built 3 years ago, in a peaceful, quiet neighbourhood. This is a home away from home with all the neccessities your will need, also included is wireless internet and cable. This property is 3 - 4 minutes from The Long Bay Nature Reserve and Beach, The Somerset Village, where you can wine & dine at The Somerset Country Squire or The Salt Rock Grill. Catch the public bus and take a 10 minute bus ride to The Royal Naval Dockyard, where you can see the attractions of The Dolphin Quest & Maritime Museum, or visit The Bermuda Rum Cake & Glass Works Factory to see how the rum cakes are made or the most beautiful glass blown figurines, plates, glasses, etc. The buses run every fifteen minutes or take a ferry at the Watford Bridge into the City of Hamilton where you will find all your shopping needs. There is more than enough parking at the property if you should like to rent a moped, to get around to see more of our beautiful island. I have been working in the hospitality industry for over seven years, and it will be my pleasure to welcome you.
I recently booked a winter getaway for a client of mine... here is what they had to say:
" Firstly, Bermuda is such a beautiful country with a rich history. We were surprised at how much there was to see, do, and learn in such a small place... best of all, the people are some of the friendliest on the planet! Be careful all you weary New Yorkers, you will be forced to smile, wave hello and say Good Afternoon all day :) From day one, Nelsalene was extremely accomodating to us. From arranging transportation to and from the airport, eagerly waiting up for us to arrive to greet us, and recommending local hotspots and modes of transportation. The apartment was a quaint and extremely clean 1 bedroom, and I must say much more spacious than our tiny 1 BR we have back home in NYC. It is located in the Sandy's parish, so you'll be on the west end (keep that in mind when planning day activities as there can be a bit of travel involved when going to the other end of the Island). There were full kitchen amenities with a roomy refrigerator, electric stove and oven, microwave, full sink, and dishes. Being that food is pretty expensive in Bermuda as everything is imported, it was nice to be able to come home and cook a warm meal every night and feel at home. The bathroom is very clean, with a shower/tub, drawers and cabinets and clean white towels. Bedroom was spacious with ample closet space, dressers, iron and ironing board, and I even noticed a foldaway bed which was never used by us but if it is something you require it is there (there is also a sofa bed in living/kitchen area. She does offer cleaning service which we had every 3 days, but I believe you can request more frequent if needed including fresh daily towels if you require them. Almost everything seemed to have been thought of. Best of all, as it is an apartment in a home, you do have that homey feel. The property is clean and well kept, and best of all for us it was quiet! A great home away from home. I highly recommend anyone to stay here."
Our trip to Bermuda was a great experience, Nelsalene was very nice and helpful, the apartment is big, comfortable and very clean.
Mrs.Daniels was the perfect host. She was genuinely concerned that we were having a good time. The property is clean; and, conveniently located to public transportation. I will be returning to stay at Mrs. Daniel's property in the near future!!!
Nelsalene was such a warm, welcoming hostess! She arranged a taxi from the airport and showed us the guest house as soon as we arrived. She had set out a bus map, ferry schedule, etc. for us and told us about the local amenities, like a grocery store and pharmacy around the corner and restaurants just a short (beautiful) walk away. Each day, she called us to see how we were getting along and was ready with a hug when we left. The guest house was beautiful and very comfortable, with a coffee maker,
coffee, hair dryer, beach towels, landline for arranging taxis, etc. and a air conditioner for those nights when the island heated up. While the location was not near the major tourist spots, the locals were incredibly friendly and I feel we got to know the island much better by staying in Nelsalene's neighborhood. Plus, the bus comes right by the guest house, making it easy to explore the island. Nelsalene made us feel so comfortable, telling us our trip was about us having a good time! I'm very glad I stayed here.
Nelsalene was fantastic. She is friendly and attentive. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. We met some of her family members and they were just as nice and helpful as Nel. We used the bus system and although we got on the wrong bus and off at the wrong stop, it didn't take us long to learn how to transfer. The pink pole goes into Hamilton and the blue pole goes away from Hamilton. The key word in Bermuda is patience. Besides, you're on vacation, what's the hurry!? Bob and I will definitely go back to Bermuda and stay with Nel and her family.
This apartment was a lucky find, especially since we planned our trip to Bermuda only weeks before. Nelsalene is a considerate and gracious host who attends to her guests without being obtrusive. She promptly responded to all of my questions and had a cab waiting for us at arrival. Fresh bath and beach towels awaited us each day. We stayed in the smaller of the two units, which is well equipped, bright and clean. It is located in a quiet part of the island within walking distance to local beaches and stores as well as a 10 minute bus ride to the ferry where you can easily go to other towns. Throughout Bermuda, roads are narrow and often without sidewalks, so we minimized our time on them. However, the Rail Trail is close to this apartment, which is a haven to walk, bike or run on. This was our first trip to Bermuda and first time using Airbnb, both a very positive experience.
What an awesome time! Host was great the apartment was clean, location was great easy to get around. Will be back!!!
Hello! Me and my wife decided to spend our Honey Moon in Bermuda. We chose Mrs. Daniels' apartment casually, not knowing what to expect exactly... We expected a simple motel kind room. But....when we entered the room we lost our (email hidden)cause it was so nice, like a room in a good hotel.
Apartment consists of a living room connected to a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. It has everything for your comfort: A/C, wi-fi, phone, TV, blow drier, iron, fridge, microwave oven, electric oven, coffee brewer, toaster, cooking ware, silver ware etc. We felt like home.
Apartment is very clean. You are supplied with beach towels. Mrs. Daniels changed our bathroom towels everyday, very often changed bed linens, did our bed everyday.
Mrs. Daniels has 2 guest apartments: King and Queen. We had a luck to live in both. They are almost the same. King is larger, good for a family, but Queen is smaller, perfect for a couple.
So we had a good time In Bermuda with such a "sweet home" apartment. I truly recommend you to stay there, you'll never regret.
