It's a shipping container tiny house on a mountain!😁🏞️🌄🚃

The CUBIN (kyoo-bin) is a used shipping container van reincarnated as this pretty, perky, one-of-a-kind tiny home sitting on a highly sloped property (#TambayanCorner168).

Did I mention it's on a mountain? Yaaasss...and oh, it has a breathtaking view of the Sierra Madre mountain ranges. 🌄🏞️🏡😁

So come live in it for a bit and make it one of your most memorable and unique experiences!😁

The space
Wanna chillax and take a break from the toxins of the metro?

Experience it in this cute, cozy and unique home on a mountain not so far away. Breathe healthy morning fog air and watch some sea of clouds within its surroundings.

Truly instagram-able! 😍🌄🏞️🏡

Note:
The Cubin sits on a mountain and apart from the view, it comes with good quality air high in oxygen surrounded by trees. The good circulation of fresh air is ideal especially at this time.

Guest access
The Cubin has a private access within a shared property.

Other things to note
Warning : It's a long read. 😝

Ok so, I've always been fascinated with tiny homes, watching shows and videos about it, learning about people who've downgraded from much bigger homes to live a minimalist lifestyle in small or tiny homes. Weird thing is, while others strive to be happier by working their asses off towards bigger houses, others achieve happiness by doing the opposite.

I've been working on this project since the start of pandemic and it's finally ready to have you experience it.

It's no easy feat and only the toughest could be able to handle the challenges that came along with it. I am basically a strong and resilient person, but I wouldn't have survived all the roadblocks if not for the valuable help, assistance and moral support of a few but most valuable people who were there with me, starting from lot tripping, Kubo hunting (for the property), actual delivery and positioning of the container van (amidst rains, seriously), pre-construction when there is only the Kubo to shelter us overnight sans electricity and toilet, during construction when some would regularly visit and "make tambay" just to keep me company and up to my most awaited part, the planting and gardening.

You know, I believe that whatever situation you are in life, it is important to always have fun, to laugh hard and love truly and deeply on a soul level.

And so I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to these guys, my soulmates if you may, who despite the hardships and low moments I experienced (of which they may not be completely aware as I tend to prefer to deal with them in solitude), played a great role in keeping me sane all throughout these times and up until now.

Thank you for bringing me so much love, laughter and fun. Most importantly, thank you for believing in me, even when there are times I don't believe in me (you may not know this too).😁

I will forever treasure all the fun and not so fun times, laughtrip galore, roadtrips to wherever unplanned places, heated discussions, walk out sessions, heartaches and all other moments we've spent together. They are all valuable and make up what bond we have today.

I've no doubt you know who you are. ☺️Always know that I truly love you on a soul level and you will always be part of me, even if we drift apart (Universe forbid).❤️

On a different note, I believe that with whatever little or big success you achieve, it is best that you give it back and impact somebody else.

And so, I'd like to tell you that I'm working on sponsoring another child at the World Vision within the year and for every booking I will set aside P50 to fund it.

Also, I have employed two of the most adorable kids in my neighborhood to do the cleaning, whom I will strictly teach and closely supervise. They may not be professionals but I believe in their dedication, hard work and potential to succeed in their lives and overcome poverty. Sometimes it only takes someone to believe in you as an extra push to go on.

I also believe that exposing them in this venture will somehow develop talent and skills that may potentially inspire them as they grow up to be adults. And so may I humbly note to you, that as you pay the cleaning fee, keep in mind that you are somehow affecting two other beautiful humans in their daily lives.

Tambayan Corner 168, the name of the property where the Cubin is located at, is aimed at becoming a place where you are able to not just relax and take a break from the toxic daily grind of your city career. It wants to be a place where you can have a listening ear and a non-judgemental mind, be it from other guests or the hosts.

TC168 wants to transform into a place where there is acceptance and love regardless of your race, color, gender, sexual preference, religion, political following, past experiences and all other stuff that made you the beautiful kind of human you are today.

Neighborhood highlights

The CUBIN is located inside a mountainous village within the city.

Although total silence is no guarantee as it is on the main road, the uniqueness and coziness of the place, coupled with a nice view of the Sierra Madre mountains, potentially makes up for it.

Within a 10-15 minute drive are commercial areas such as Robinson's Place Antipolo, I-Mall, Victory Park & Shop, etc.

Food deliveries are also available as if you're in Metro Manila. Also nearby are convenience stores like 7-11, Alphamart, Mini-Stop, etc. There are also the usual street food stalls selling roasted chicken and Liempo, pizzas and burgers in major roads leading to the village. And of course the ever reliable street market within a few kilometres away, in case you would need ingredients for when you will cook in the Cubin.
