Bali authentic holiday, located Homestay&Villas rice terrace and forest, we are a Balinese family who have opened our traditional family compound to guests from other countries. (This rest of this profile is written by an English speaking friend of the family, so it is about them.. not written as 'i')
The excellent location of this family homestay is one of the main reasons guests first choose it- it is a beautiful, rural area just north of busy Ubud. Then people realize that the real treasure is the family who run it.
The father of the family is Made Arka. He is a well known Balinese artist, and still teaches art classes from home as well as at ARMA museum in central Ubud. He has visited Australia for an exhibition of his paintings and is well educated and open minded- he loves to learn about other countries .
The mother of the family is Nyoman Rinin. She worked for many years in hotels in Ubud, so she understands how to look after guests well. They can both speak English and like to share Balinese culture with their guests, either by chatting on the shared veranda's or by taking people on tours around the island.
They are genuinely kind and honest people. Staying at Dukuh VIllage Homestay&Villas with them is a real insight into Balinese family life, while having comforts like hot water and wifi.
