People usually feel very cozy in my home. A mix of artsy and earthy.
It's hard to tell if I will be around, after you arrive.
So, anyone that plans to visit, please have a good knowledge of the city and/or ready to explore and discover on your own.
The neighborhood, Gowanus, is right in the middle of 4 very popular and well known neighborhoods; Parkslope, Carroll Gardens, Fort Greene and Sunset Park. Filled to the brim with restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Prospect park, the Brooklyn Museum, the Botanic Garden are a 15 minute walking distance from the apartment. Hipsters mixed with new and old families. Watch out for the baby carriages! Especially on Sundays.
The new Barclay's Center is 10 minutes away...walking.
The apartment is a block away from the R subway train, approx 10 minutes from downtown Manhattan. One stop on the R train will take you to Atlantic Ave/Barclay's Center a major subway hub. Street parking and garage parking closer to 7ave. There are also buses. I will make maps available for both subways and buses.
Guests have access to the kitchen and living room.
If not home, I am always available via phone, text or email.
You may be asked to water the plants, depending on your length of stay. Just a heads up.

Very nice place to stay. me and my boyfriend spent 3 weeks in Keely's place and we felt like home. The area is very nice and everything you need is not far. The house is perfect for 2 people, bright and sunny as advertise.
Just pay attention to R line changes between weekdays and weekend.
I spent 9 days with airbnb at Keely´s in Brooklyn NY. She was a very friendly and easy going host. The room was clean and comfortable. She gave us good advice for sightseeing and nearby restaurants. thanks for your hospitality, Keely and Good Luck !
Keely is a great host. Her place is charming and convenient. Keely make you feel like at home and she makes herself really discret to give you space. It is a perfect place to stay to visit NYC.
If it's possible to have had a more gracious, helpful, kind hose than Keely, the blood would drain from my head. I recommend her without reservation.
Keely helped with me with the things I needed, was responsive to all my questions, and then made herself scarce. I hardly knew she was there. When I needed her, though, she was ALWAYS there.
My room was so perfect for me that I only left it five times during a week, and four of those were to get groceries. If you're going in the summer, the bedroom AC and fan are fantastic; if you go in the winter, there's plenty of baseboard heat. The bed is superb; if you're into doing serious work, which I was, there's a desk that I found more conducive to productivity than mine at home. There's plenty of access to electrical outlets, and her wi-fi service is strong and flawless.
If you're going to Brooklyn or Manhattan or anywhere in the area, you absolutely cannot go wrong choosing to stay with Keely. I feel, now, that I not only had a superb host, but, now, a friend. Thank you Keely!
I loved staying with Keely. She is a very calm & spiritual being & made me feel like I was very welcome in her beautiful space. The room is very clean, spacious & decorated in an eclectic & creative way. The only thing id suggest would be to bring an eye mask if you like to sleep in as the room has lots of windows & is flooded with light from early in the morning. this is one of its highlights as well though, and you have great views of downtown Manhattan & Brooklyn.
I found Gowanus to be a very interesting area to stay in - its not as glamorous as its neighbors Park Slope and Carrol Gardens, but it had the feel of one of those areas which is on the verge of being 'discovered' but still retains a lot of its original industrial neighbourhood vibe, has an interesting & vibrant ethnic mix & is close to a selection of different subway stations so you're never more than 20 minutes from Manhattan.
I'd definitely recommend Keely as a host!
we had a great experience at Keely place. everything was clean and Keely is so nice and helpfull. we recomend this place!
Keely has a really nice and cozy appartment. She made me feel welcomed and helped out with recommendations and btw has a good taste in music. Park Slope is a nice neighbourhood that holds places and shops for everyone.
Keely's place was perfect for our stay! She is so kind and makes you feel very welcomed. The location was great as well, lots of shops and resaurants in walking distance and easy access to the subway. I highly reccommmend!
We had a great and memorable experience in New-York thanks to Keely. She knows how to make people confortable.
The flat is very convenient and the neighborhood (5th avenue BKLN...), is busy and rich of restaurants and coffees.
Keely is a very lovely guest. We stayed in her room for 4 days with our baby Otto. The room was clean and sunny. She was very helpfull providing all the information we needed regarding the neighbourhood.I would recommend this room to everyone.
