This fabulous house is located right under the Parthenon, literally in the shadow of Acropolis in the known historical area of Plaka. It has two bedrooms (one double bed and two single beds) and a living room (with a single sofa bed). Apart from the balcony which has a great view of Lycabetus hill and the city of Athens there is a terrace , with a surface of 30sq.m facing the Acropolis where you can relax an enjoy the view.
The metro of Acropolis is less than 200m far from the house. In this area you will see all Athens' sights by walking.
Anafiotika area is a very picturesque (website hidden) is also know as "the island without a sea".Actually it gives the impression of an island with its small white-washed houses, narrow streets and steps, stone walls and gardens full with flowers.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact (website hidden) would be my pleasure to help!
Though, the house is independent from other buildings, this is a quiet area and no loud noises are allowed at inappropriate hours.
Stayed with my family of 4 for 3 nights at Rania's lovely home. Great location within a few minutes walk to the Main Tourist Info Centre / New Acropolis Museum and about 10mins walk to the gate of the Acropolis (despite being right behind the Acropolis). Very near to the hustle and bustle of Plaka with great independent cafes but still managed to retain quietness in the evenings.
House was fully equipped and had everything you need. It was clean and had a lovely 'home' feel to it thanks to the great paintings, choice of furnitures etc. Home has a lovely character too. We loved the rooftop terrace which was the main selling point. The view towards Athens in the morning was stunning. Popi, Rania's mother lived on the floor below and she always checked whether we we're ok. She even gave us some oranges on the second day!
We made use of Spiros the taxi driver and presumably her neighbour upon arrival at Athens airport. Great guy with a wealth of info. He also charges reasonable prices to get around. On our last night Spiros suggested us a great seafood restaurant in Spiraeus which was a treat!
Overall a fantastic trip and we would love to come back! Thanks Rania, Popi and Spiros!
Rania really helped us to settle in by sending Spiros her friend and cabdriver to pick us up at the airport. He pointed at the highlights on his way to the apparment and showed us the nice places nearby.
The appartment is just wonderful, clean and quiet, right under the Acropolis and with this amazing roofgarden.
We loved steayng there, it made coming back to it like coming home! Hope to come back, lots of love Rania!
Rania's apartment was heaven!Lovely balcony unser the Acropolis. We could walk everywhere we wanted. The area is charming with lots of good restaurants and bars like being on a tiny island.
Rania arranged for us to be picked up from the airport which made the journey much easier for not too great a price.
I would recommend Rania's flat to anyone.
From the moment we landed in Athens to the moment we left, we could not have had a more perfect experience. Rania had graciously arranged for Spiros to pick us up at the airport and he was by far one of my new favorite people. His kindness and generosity could only be matched by his knowledge of the city. When we arrived at the home, we were absolutely blown away! The pictures are (phone number hidden)% accurate and the location cannot be beat! We were unable to meet Rania unfortunately, but her mother who lives below was (again) the kindest and most loving woman. My husband and I already have plans to come back next October and we would definitely stay again - HIGHLY recommended!
We didn't get to meet Rania but she arranged for a pick up from the airport to the apartment , the place actually looked better than the pictures very clean and beatific from the inside and very close to the old city and the Acropolis, I would definitely book it again if I were to go to Athens
Fantastic location - it felt like we were staying in a small, peaceful village, but with the city, sites & shops literally steps away. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. A bottle of wine was left for us and Rania's mum gave us mandarins, oranges, pears & olives. She was very kind and generous and made us feel very welcome. Rania's friend Spiros took us to & from the airport, gave us the some great info for visiting the sites, and helped us when we needed it. Athens is a lovely city, you can walk everywhere easily and the people are very friendly.
