Loved the location!
Ayesha and her mom were very friendly and helpful hosts. The apartment is in a beautiful location: a quiet neighbourhood and only a couple of minutes away from the just stunning beaches of the North Shore. You can quickly walk there or take one of Ayesha's bikes which she lends for free. For everything else you need a car as there is not much around but this is anyway necessary to explore the island. I enjoyed my time very much - especially due to the proximity to the beach. Sadly I was a bit disappointed in regards to the poor condition of the kitchen and kitchenware. If the apartment was cheaper it would be acceptable but for the price taken I would expect it to be in a better condition. I am sure this can easily be fixed though and everything else is very nice.
We were disappointed with this studio, we are a mature couple and can understand that the young surfing set may this studio ideal. That said the facilities were very basic, furnishings dated and kitchen equipment could all do with replacing - the toaster in particular was very dirty and greasy. The fridge/ freezer looked about 40 years old and was very battered and worn. Some Kitchen cupboards lacked doors, it just did not feel as if any thought and care had gone into preparation from a quest perspective. Unfortunately the approach to the stairs up to the studio really was shambolic, unclean, untidy and very off putting. Strangely with very little effort all these problems could be solved. But to repeat perhaps it's just not a mature couples accommodation. Do note that for surfers it is ideal in terms of location but we really thought it was in HALEIWA as that was its postal address but it was 25 minutes away.
We went for our honeymoon. The location is awesome and the place was affordable. It was a great trip!
Ayesha's studio is in a great location, right opposite the water, around the corner from Ted's and in the beautiful North Shore where everything is a little more relaxed. Our stay was easy and Ayesha was laidback and welcoming.
The Mauka Breeze Studio is a lovely place. It was light, airy, and spotlessly clean. There is a garden full of coconut palms and other tropical plants right outside the door. Just a beautiful location. I could have stayed for weeks.
You can walk to the beach in minutes from the studio, or borrow one of Ayesha's many bikes for a quick ride to other beaches in the vicinity as well as local food vendors.
This is a great location for exploring the north shore. It was an easy drive up to Tunnels Beach or down to Turtle Bay for good snorkeling, and there were other beaches with decent surf for body surfing.
Very clean. Plenty of space with a nice kitchen area.
Nice place for sleeping and relaxing. Ayeesha was accommodating and let us check in a few hours early which was awesome!
My fiance and I stayed here for two nights and three days in early October. The studio was spacious and the bathroom was clean, with a great large shower and a cute little gecko. We did have to deal with some noise from the neighbor's construction, and the owners are also putting in an outdoor shower.
We were very close to Sunset Point and Velzyland, just around the corner is Ted's Bakery, a famous local eatery.
Ayesha and her family were wonderful hosts that shared the Aloha spirit with us. The studio is in a great location - a short walk away is a direct route to the beach and also Ted's Bakery on the main road (great for a bite to eat at breakfast, lunch or dinner - or just for a slice of their awesome pies). The studio was super spacious and gets a great breeze through the slatted-style windows. The natural island breeze and 2 fans in the apartment kept us comfortable. It was also great to have access to using a washer and dryer during our stay - after a week on the island you end up with more laundry than you expect. We had a great stay here!
