Nice room in apartment near city

Bed & Breakfast - Private room · Fredericiagade, Aalborg, Nordjylland 9000, Denmark

The Space

Hi there!
Welcome to Aalborg, a Danish city with around 125.000 inhabitants. Aalborg is a port city, known for the infamous Jomfru Ane Gade (Virgin Ane Street) a street filled with bars and discos.
I will do everything I can to make your stay as comfortably as possibly, and will happy answer any questions you might have before and during your stay. I will also be happy to guide you to the sights in and around Aalborg, based on your sightseeing wishes.

Please notice that the room is for two adult and a toddler/baby.

**ABOUT THE APARTMENT**
The apartment is a close to city, child friendly apartment with everything you will need to enjoy your stay in Aalborg. The kitchen and bathroom are very big, giving the feeling that the apartment is bigger than a 3-roomed apartment.
During your stay, you will be able to enjoy:
Free internet
Television with movie streaming opportunities and a PlayStation 3
More than twenty English books
Eco soap by every sink and for shower
Eco washing soap for clothes and free use of cleaner/dryer
Free use of basic food (Flour, spaghetti, rice and so on)
Clean sheets and towels
An enclosed outdoor area with all-day sun and barbequing opportunities.
Folders describing some of the opportunities in and around Aalborg (including maps)

The apartment is very child friendly with toys, puzzle facilities and a toddler chair – but all of this is located so as you can easily stay in the apartment without kids.

You will have your own room, so you have the opportunity to have a little privacy. The room has a window, which opens toward a closed backyard, and let in a lot of light. You will have a double bed.
You will share the apartment with me and my son, Adrian, who is two years old and love to have guests. Adrian and I will love to share our place with you, and we hope we can help to make you stay unforgettable.

**ABOUT THE AREA**
In an area just around the apartment (5 min. of walking), there are several grocery stores, several cafés and fast-food shops (including pizzerias, sushi bars and sandwich bars). There’s also a 24-hour open kiosk – not recommended to buy anything but the most necessary since it’s rather expensive. There are also two gyms.
Within ten minutes of walking, you will find the fjord (with a park and a playground right next to it), an indoor swimming area and you will arrive in downtown Aalborg and be able to enjoy the shops and sights in Aalborg. You will of course also find “Jomfru Ane Gade” (translated: “Virgin Ane Street”) the center of Aalborg’s night life: a 150 meter long street, filled with bars and discos in two-three floors for every taste.
Other things worth mentioning in Aalborg are the amazing zoo, the Aalborg tower (where there is an amazing view of Aalborg and the surrounding areas) and “Lindholm Høje” a Viking burial site with a museum and a café.
For longer stays I would recommend some of the sights outside of Aalborg as well. Denmark has very beautiful beaches. I would especially recommend the city “Skagen”. It is the most northern point in Denmark, and although it is rather far away from Aalborg (around an hour and a half in car or public transportation) the authentic city and the amazing sight of two oceans meeting are worth the trip.
The amusement park “Fårup Sommerland” which are open during the summer (and located 30 minutes away from Aalborg) are a trip worth – extremely family friendly and recommended as the best amusement park in the north, and the worlds 3. best family friendly amusement park.
If you wish to enjoy the Danish nature, the forest: “Rold Skov” 20 min. south of Aalborg is Denmark’s biggest forest. Other ways, a trip to the country outside Aalborg will show you fields and a lot of small cozy towns.

I hope to hear from you and above all, I hope you will enjoy your stay in Aalborg.
Best,
Nicola.

  • Imødekommende og venlig modtagelse. Fin lejlighed centralt beliggende. Lidt generede at man skulle igennem Nicolas værelse for at benytte bad og toilet. Lidt dyrt i forhold til det man får ... Morgenmaden lidt mangelfuld.

  • I had a great time staying with Nicola and Adrian. Nicola was very accommodating and relaxed when it came to my coming and going, and using her food. She also kindly cooked me dinner one night. The apartment location is ideal, only a short walk from the city centre, and is a great alternative to expensive hotels!

  • I spent two nights at Nicola's place, she and her lovely son warmly welcome me in their place. Although we didn't have that much conversation but she was so helpful and nice person. Highly Recommended :)

  • I liked to stay in this room. It's pretty close to the center of Aalborg and railway station. Nicola is a kind and hospitable hoster. My best recomendations!

  • Nicola hosted my sister and her boyfriend for a week. It was their first place after arriving in Denmark for the first time. Nicola was really friendly and accommodating.
She was very ready to help and guide them around. I am thankful that she was the first person my sister met on her way to university as their stay was a calm and pleasant one, with nothing for me (the big sister) to worry about.
    Thanks Nicola :)

About
HI! I'm an 23 year old economics and bussines administration student. I hope, when I'm finished with my studies, that I'll be able to work with voluntary work and to help find ways to globalize the world. I live together with my son, Adrian who are 3 year old and very talkative - he loves to have guests. (And he will try very much to make you understand danish when he meets you!) I like culture, and I have a lot of books and movies in my apartment (witch you'll be able to borrow if you're renting my place - most of them are English.) I look forward to meeting you and if you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask! Best, Nicola.
