The Space

Really, really, central in SW1, only two minutes to the Victoria Line subway, we offer a comfortable, clean double room in a warm, quite, secure flat located close to Tate Britain.

We also have a single room from September 9th to Novemebr 9th for £35 a night.

We have a pleasant courtyard garden with BBQ, which looks out on green trees in a pedestrain square. Internet, weekly cleaner, etc all inlcuded with friendly well travelled professional family.

The best thing about this place is the central location. It is so quick to get anywhere in central London from here. Guests can hear Big Ben striking from their bed!

We are very well positioned here for most London sights. it is a 20 minute walk to Trafalgar Square through St James Park, but the best way to reach most attractions is to walk along the Thames Path. I really like walking along the River, it is quick and really interesting. Vauxhall is the nearest point and it is then quite quick to walk along the Thames to Westminster and the South Bank. There is a pier at Vauxhall and at Tate Britain for boats too. One my favorites is Tate 2 Tate which goes from just round the corner at Tate Britain to Tate Modern. I think the River is a great way to see London.

Pimlico Tube is 300 meters away and is in Zone One on the Victoria Line. We are very well placed for the various airports. It is just up the Victoria Line to St. Pancres for the train to Paris or the Heathrow Express. The Gatwick express comes into Victoria which is one stop away. So it couldn't be easier for international travellers.

the Victoria Line goes straight to Green Park ( 2 stops) for Piccadilly and Oxford Circus ( 3 stops).

The buses are a 24 which goes from Pimlico to Westminster Abby , Whitehall, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and ends up on Hampstead Heath! I always send guests on this for a cheap orientation to the main sights.

The No 2 bus goes straight to Selfridges!!!!!! and Oxford Street , well that's a consumer trap..........and the 36 and 436 goes to Oxford Street too.

The best though is that the no. 360 goes straight from here to the Museums ie the V & A and the Natural History Museum via Sloane Square and the Sachi Gallery.

Oh! Yes Pimlico has dozens of restaurants including some very good inexpensive ones. The 'Cask' up the road is the best local pup and has great beers on tap but there are heaps of others.

There is a terrific street market which does wonderful lunches and is especially good from Thursday to Saturday.

We are a mostly organic household and I provided organic homemade muesli and homemade jam for breakfast with free range eggs decent organic coffee and let guests make there own when they feel like it. I also supply organic toiletries from ' Faith in Nature'. We may live in the city but we dont have to poison the planet.

The flat has lots of guidebooks, maps, A to Z's etc.

Guest Access

We amicably share the bathrooms and kitchen and the courtyard garden.

Interaction with Guests

Guest will need to be indepenadent.

Getting Around

Public transport is super easy and very quick to the whole of central London and to and from all airports.
OR you could walk to just abut anywhere!

Other Things to Note

This is ideal for longer term visitors to London, and very well placed for those wanting to do academic work or enjoy the art and culture of London - we are just round the corner from the Tate and on a direct bus route to the museums , V&A etc. The British Library and others are very accessible.
