Apartment - Private room · Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11225, United States

A great Apartment in a small building .. 3 bedrooms / I live in one of them :)

The Space

Trendy Brooklyn neighborhood .. walking distance to Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, Park Slope, Prospect Heights, lots of local flavor .. 4 subway stops to downtown Manhattan .. Queen size bed w. cable tv, hi speed wifi, all linens .. shared bath ( we are not always here) .. Brand new apartment - a cleaning lady comes each week .. I am a foodie and we are native New Yorkers (via Italy and Jamaica)! The apartment is in a Newly Renovated Building .. it is a small building with only 12 units.. There is a laundry one block away .. a Bakery and fresh fruit & vegetable store on each corner. Medgar Evers college is a few blocks from here and Pratt a bus ride away. The apartment is in the back of the building so it is quiet without exposure to the front street. We have the 2, 3, 4 & 5 trains on the corner. I love living here and I love hosting travelers .. and hope that you will love staying here, too!

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • I stayed with Denise for 5 nights. As a female traveling alone and needed to be in that neighborhood I had a very nice stay.
The apartment is up two flights of stairs, small but extremely well kept with a lot of comfort. My room was very comfortable and cosy. During the constant rain is was great to be indoors.
Denise is no drama and very helpful.

Area: I'm not fond of the area as I'm more of a Manhattan girl but if you need to be in that area this is a recommended stay.
Pros: Subway is very close so you can get away any time, Cheap hair salons near by.
Cons: Healthy food outlets are hard to find.

  • The house is very pretty and clean. The transportation is also very convenient. It is a great experience for me to live here.

  • Denise made my interning experience in New York very enjoyable. She was very knowledgeable about the city and was very friendly. The two train stops right next to the apartment made getting into and out of the city during the weekend and week very easy. The apartment was always clean, and enjoyable to be in. Next time I'm in Brooklyn I hope to stay with Denise again.

  • My dad and my brother really enjoy their stay. The house was very comfortable, clean and quiet, the neighborhood is a perfect location for the trains to the city and other parts of brooklyn. The hosts were very nice and helpful for any small issue which could be encountered. Thank you Denise!

  • Denise is a lovely person. She welcomed me in a big room with large bed, desk, large HD TV only 25 minutes away from Manhattan (using subway).

My only regret back to France was not to have time enough to take a drink together.

  • Denice and Patrick is like the coolest people ever! We lived there for 6 weeks and we loved it. It felt like home. We had a big room with comfortable bed and it was very clean! They were really good and caring hosts! They gave us tips and showed us different things to do like good restaurants, cool areas to visit, subway and other things to do! It was close to many subways and really easy to get around! It is also close to grocery stores, prospect park, Brooklyn museum, BAM culture center and Barclays arena. The area is a really cool place to live in. We will definitely recommend Denice's place! This is the place to live when you are in brooklyn! We absolutely come back!

  • Denises apartment was lovely. We only saw Denise a few times but she was very helpful and kept in touch with us throughout our trip to ensure we were okay and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again.
