We stayed at this great house in Carcassonne in October 2012. The house looks just like the photos, very grand, high ceilings and large rooms. There were 5 of us in the house, and it still felt empty.
The location is great, right in the old town. It's not in the old Carcassonne castle, so things are a but less touristy. While Carcassonne is great, you'd probably want a car to get out into the countryside if you were going to stay more than a few days.
Laetitia was a great host. She promptly responded to all messages, and gave us a lot of local tips. Her local restaurant recommendations were fantastic - best food of our whole trip. I'd certainly recommend staying here.
What an amazing home awaited us when Laetitia opened the door to her home. It was breathtaking with extraordinary rooms leading off a central marble staircase. We were situated right in the centre of Carcassonne and enjoyed preparing meals with food purchased at the local market and stores. It was clean, quiet and Laetitia was a helpful host. We would definitely recommend it.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful XV century home. We felt like we went back in time. The home has been preserved yet modernized very well. Walk to shops and restaurants around the square.
Laetitia was very helpful and a great host. Met us when we became lost.
Carcassonne is a great base location for day trips in the region.
It is difficult to find the first time as medieval villages and homes not well marked. Suggest having a rendezvous point when arriving.
