The Space

Threshers Barn is located in the tiny hamlet of East Leigh, nr Harberton, about 3 miles from Totnes & Dartington, Dartmoor is about 10 miles one way, the coast 10 miles the other. Harberton and its ancient pub are about 1.5 miles down the road. The local scenery is spectacular, great for walking and cycling although it is very hilly. I have one double room with ensuite facilities and lovely views over the hills, and 2 single rooms with sole use of shower & loo. I provide bed and continental breakfast, which includes juice, homemade bread and a range of cereals. You can also book an individual session or join in the pilates classes I run from the sunrise room in the 1.5 acre woodland garden. There's free broadband, but even better hardly any light pollution so it's great for stargazing!

This listing is for a single room (with a double bed in it) available at £28.00 per night. Toilet and shower facilities are shared with my other single room. For my other rooms see listings for Friendly Welcome in Deepest Devon 2 for the other single room and Room with a View in Deepest Devon for the double ensuite.

  • It was our first airbnb experience and it was wonderful. Sashas house is very cosy with a fantastic view to the unique landscape. Sascha is very nice and helpful. We loved her homemade jam and bread. It was a very pleasant stay! Tank you!

  • I spent three nights at Sasha's towards the end of Sep 2013. I would fully endorse all of the positive comments previous guests have made. I wanted to explore/walk the South Hams coastline and Dartmoor. Sasha is ideally located to do both. Even though it feels like (and is) deepest rural Devon, Totnes is only a few miles away. What struck me particularly was how incredibly quiet the area was. Bliss! If i plan any more Dartmoor walks, i would have absolutely no hesitation in booking with Sasha again, which says it all really...

  • My 8 year old son & I enjoyed a lovely night & morning at Sasha's, who was a very friendly, easy going & helpful host!
To my son's special delight, Sasha took him to collect eggs from the chickens.
Stunning view, very tastefully decorated room & a tasty breakfast, too!

  • Although she was pretty busy, Sasha was a great and attentive host. Her place is beautiful, set in an astonishing countryside. Very calm, very relaxed, very comfortable. The room is cozy and clean, the bathroom is just across the floor and we had everything we needed. Sasha makes some great homebaked bread for breakfast!

  • Sasha's home and hospitality seriously are as unbelievable as the gorgeous pics on her page here! The house is set in Devon countryside that looks magically like the Shire from the Hobbit. Her cats are great breakfast companions. The bathroom was brand new, lovely, shiny. View from the bedroom...simply amazing and totally compensated for the slightly squeaky mattress. Breakfast was a delicious home-made multigrain bread that Sasha had baked the night before with plenty of trimmings!

  • Sasha is a considerate, friendly host who went out of her way to make me feel welcome. The single room was clean and airy, and I had exclusive use of a bathroom.

I have lived in this area for about a year now, having moved to the South Hams from Exmouth, following a career change, from working for a National Conservation Charity to retraining as a Personal Trainer/Pilates instructor.
