Fishermans Cottage sits in a sunny position just a stone's throw from the waters edge on the quieter side of Wells harbour.

The cottage has been stylishly refurbished and retains its old charm, with original beams, inglenook fireplace and cosy wood burning stove.

The space
On arrival you will walk through the stable door and will be greeted by the well designed living space, with a beautiful sofa and matching footstool where you can put your feet up, relax and watch a movie.

There is a gorgeous little kitchen that has everything you need to prepare breakfast in bed or a romantic meal that can be served at the cute little dining table under the front window.

Climb the Norfolk winder staircase and you'll discover a beautifully-appointed bedroom with a super comfy king-size bed, topped with The White Company linen. Open the small double doors to the shower room with the lovely vintage wash stand, basket of fluffy white towels and Norfolk Natural Living wash products.

This is the perfect romantic hideaway for a couple that wants to explore in the day, cuddle up at night and wake up to a stunning sea view in the morning.

Where you’ll be

Norfolk, England, United Kingdom

Wells-Next-the-Sea is a quaint fishing port full of character and history. The harbour still has working crab and lobster boats along with the Albatross, the Dutch sailing barge moored on the quay. An impressive feature of the harbour is the large granary building with its distinctive overhanging gantry once supplying huge quantities of malt to Dutch and then London breweries. Narrow streets wind from the harbour to the Butlands, a fine and gentile Georgian square.

Fishermans Cottage is located on the quieter east side of the harbour. It's a 2 minute walk into town where you can while away the afternoon mooching around the shops, boutiques and art galleries. If you don’t feel like cooking then you are spoilt for choice with the range of cafes, restaurants and of course the award winning fish and chips.

Wells beach with its glorious white sands, colourful beach huts and stunning pine forest is a 25 min walk, 5 min drive or in the summer months a short ride away on the miniature train. On a warm day take a picnic, a blanket and stay on after the crowds to watch the sunset before strolling back to the cottage at your leisure.

The diverse coastline forms part of the largest nature reserve in England with up to 5,000 seals and some of the best birdwatching in the country. The lovely Georgian towns of Holt and Burnham Market are nearby as well as Blakeney, Brancaster, Holkham and Cromer.

The Coasthopper bus stop is nearby and will take you to all the villages and beaches along the coast road or maybe hire bikes or paddle boards from the harbour and see the town and coastline from a different perspective.
