Is the area safe?- The neighborhood Dutch Kills is very safe, only 2 blocks from the N and Q subway station 2 stops from Lexington Ave in midtown Manhattan.
Is there any Parking?- There is plenty of street overnight parking, you can choose a meter right in front of the apartment where you pay $.25 per 15 min between Mon-Sat 9am-7pm or half a block away you can find free 24/7 parking with street cleaning rules on thursday and friday between 8.30-10am. I will add that it is quite hard to find any parking during a weekday business hours due to the fact that many commuters park in the area since its so close to Manhattan. There is also a parking garage right across the street where you can park for $10 per day or $20 per 24 hour period.
Do you accept credit cards?- Airbnb takes care of the whole reservation process and they accept all mayor credit cards.
How do we get there from JFK Airport?- Its very easy to get here from JFK, just take the airtrain to the Jamaica station Switch to the E train and take that to Queens plaza stop and walk 3 blocks north following 29th Street to the corner of 39th ave where the apartment is.
Is there an elevator in the building? Im so sorry there is no elevator. The apartment is on the second floor one flight up.
How many bedrooms is there in the apartment? There are 3 large bedrooms. There are a total of 4 double beds, 1 bed-sofa and then a regular sofa in the living-room. A cot and crib/playpen is also available for extra comfort. There should be plenty of space for your whole group/family.
Will there be any noise from the downstairs Restaurant/Bar? Dutch Kills Centraal opened Sept. 2013 and we have not had any complaints yet. They are only open till midnight on weekdays and 12.30am on weekends so you don't have to worry about any late night sounds,
How is the area around the apartment? This area is called Dutch Kills and its a a small neighborhood right in between Astoria and Long Island City to very popular destinations for cafe's and restaurants. We have 3 very famous galleries with in a walking distance. Fisher Landau Center for Art, Flux Factory and PS1 which is part of the Modern Museum of Art (MoMa) Since this area is so close to Queensboro Bridge the main transportation hubb of Queens this has traditionally been a place for back businesses supplying Manhattan with bread, truffles, silk, etc but over the last 10 years artists have taken over these warehouse spaces and made them into work/live loft studios. Its a very interesting area and I think you will be very pleased. Best wishes, Steffan Olausson Partridge

Make yourself at home and be comfortable
We had a good time in this clean apartment in New York!
In the large living room was a gas fireplace that warmed the apartment quickly. We were only 4 people and had plenty of space with the three bedrooms, all of them eqipped with comfortable beds. Also the kitchen was equipped well, with a large fridge, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker. In the large bathroom we got enough towels.
Nearby was a metro station and we could go to Manhattan very quickly. We enjoyed our stay in this apartment.
The apartment was as expected, and very nice. We were 10 people, and we had space enough for everybody. In the living room could we sit together and have a good time, and when people wanted to go to bed, they could do it.
Steffan was a nice host, he was in the apartment when we came, and came by one more time to give us some extra keys! Super service, and all of us, will recommend Steffan as a host! It was superb!
Such a pleasant stay. The place is truly perfect, as is the jazz at the pub downstairs (every saturday night)! The apartment felt spacious even with 11 of us. Would come back in a heartbeat.
Overall our visit was very pleasant. Steffan checked up on us after we checked in. Prior to check in, Steffan turned on the fireplace and heaters so we could come into a warm house. The place is spacious for NYC. The place is just two blocks from the train . Downstairs is a bar but that was never an issue. No heavy noises that bothered us. There's a deli/market right across the street which was convenient as well. Definitely would stay here again for our next trip.

About the Host, Steffan
I was born on the Island of Cyprus in the same bed as my mother was born but it was too hot for my Swedish Dad so we moved to his home land when I was 6 months old. They bought a small farm in the northern woods of Wermland and from very simple ingredients they made five more kids at home but life in organic paradise ended when I was 12 when my Mom missed her big Greek-Cypriot family in Astoria NY and took all 6 of us to the Big Apple. So life has shaped me into a innocent street smart romantic that believed in the inherent good of all people. I still have the house in Wermland and Im in the process of building a house in Bahia, Brazil with my wife Cristina. We have 4 boys between 13 and 6 and my big girl just turned 25. I adore my little Dutch Kills community where I have partnered up with the neighbors to open a day spa, art gallery, gastropub, and a community garden. We reward ourselves with travel and opening up our home to other adventurous explorers around this fabulous world.
Warm Welcomes, Steffan Olausson Partridge
