About This Listing
Our cool & cozy house has tons of light, the best neighborhood for Montreal long and short stays. It usually holds us, a couple and a baby, but is also great for one with a perfect office space. 5min walk to Park Lafontaine, 10min to the mountain!
Second bedroom / office on the second floor. The single day bed can be opened up into a queen size bed.
Bright, clean, beautiful house with a private garden in the heart of Montreal's plateau. 2 bedrooms (double and single) plus extra bedding / foam mattress that can be set up in the sunroom for extra guests). Internet, parking, washer and dryer. 5 min to Parc Lafontaine, 10 min walk to the mountain, and some of the best cafes and restaurants in Montreal. We leave clean sheets and towels.
The house is like a secret because it's on a little quiet street. Although you can hear walkers pass by, there's little traffic sound for a downtown Monti location. There's a parking spot available which is pretty rare in the hood - car rental place around the corner. And the garden outside space is kind of famous for being rarely large for this area (size up two house lots...nice to have a country cushion!)
There is a full library here that you are welcome to peruse (if you promise not to mock my geeky marginalia). There's a bike to borrow if you promise to replace if stolen (only $200).
One of the best chocolate shops in Montreal (Chocolat Chloe) and famous Montreal eatery Pie du Cochon are 2 min walk (I exaggerate not). Health food store at the end of the street, and 10 min walk to the best raw food in Montreal.
Shopping abounds, 15 min walk to McGill, a salt water swimming pool, Montreal bagels (very important)...Oh, and there's a lot of great shopping. Closest subway is a 7 min walk (Berri)
Yeah, it's pretty rad. Hope you enjoy!

We've put together a great 'best of' in the neighborhood. We'd love to help as much, or as little as you'd like!
I use all environmentally friendly cleaning and washing products in the house. If you're here for a while and need to replace something you've used, please replace it with another green product - thanks!
Charming cottage, nicely located in the heart of the Plateau, with the parc La Fontaine just around the corner. The house was clean, very comfortable, and had all the proper amenities. It was exactly as described (and even better), and I felt at home right away. The “secret garden” was a wonderful place to retreat: it has raspberries, cherries and flowers throughout July. I did not meet the host, Jessica, as she was away during my stay, but a friend of hers welcomed me in the house with fresh flowers. I exchanged with Jessica via the Internet: she was very friendly and helped with any questions I had. I had an absolutely relaxing and enjoyable one-month stay! Couldn't be more perfect!
Amazing house in the perfect location. Just as lovely as the pictures.
Great communication with the host who really went out of their way to provide help and suggestions on eateries, etc.
We had such a great time in the house, it is such a pleasure to have a garden. The house is located in the heart of the plateau, which makes very easy to reach any sites in Montreal.
Laurel and Stef are making you confortable, you feel you are at home,
We felt right at home at this beautifully decorated and perfectly located house. I can't wait to come back to Montreal, in part, to stay at the house again. It had a wonderful energy and I can't wait to come back!
Enchanting, peaceful haven in the heart of the plateau. wood floors, sun room give it a cottage feel. The patio and garden were wonderful to relax in. I enjoyed the proximity to Duluth restaurants, Parc Lafontaine, the little grocery store on Roy/St. André. Laurel and Jess made me feel like a friend visiting. Merci pour l'accueil chaleureux. J'espère revenir bientôt!!
About the Host, Jess
I am a yoga teacher and musician. I love spending time outdoors, reading, and all sorts of good things. I spend part of the year in Brazil and also in the country outside of Montreal. My husband and I are also avid tree planters - he has a permaculture cacao farm in Brazil.
Our hosting style is 'it's all yours'. We provide clean sheets, towels and love to keep our place super clean. We love Montreal and are super up for giving tips on restaurants, groceries, coffee (very important in Montreal!) and of course - Montreal bagels! Look forward to meeting you.
