The neighborhood is a little peninsula surrounded by the Miami River. We love the central location the quiet street and minimum traffic. There are only two entrances into the neighborhood so there is no through traffic.
Public transportation is available 1 block away but this is Miami and an automobile is almost necessary.

Armando's Miami River house is a cool place to stay with access to everything in Miami, especially the little Havana area. The yard includes several fruit trees and even a mockingbird nest with three chicks. The small gang of (3) iguanas provided some harmless entertainment as did the parade of boats and ships moving up and down the river. The house is situated in a very nice little neighborhood but in the midst of an industrialized area. Armando is a gracious and welcoming host. Everything was as described at the house. We would gladly stay again!
The house was lovely. The four bedrooms were quaint and the house was very clean when we arrived. The hammock was a lovely place to relax out back (keep an eye out for the very large iguanas roaming around) and we often ate meals at the outdoor dining table. Over all it was a good experience and an easy commute to the Adrienne Arsht Center where we were performing for three weeks. The downside is the area that the house is in. The actual neighborhood that the home is in is good, but once outside the neighborhood it felt very rough and I did not feel safe at times while driving to work or stopping at the gas station.
Lastly my seven year old three pound dog consumed either rat poison or a deadly bacteria (there were five other cases that week alone according to the nearby vet). My dog was only in Armando's house, in the yard on a leash with me or on a walk in the neighborhood a few houses down either direction. After 12 hours of agonizing pain and multiple cardiac arrests my dog died at the vet. I warn you if you do have a small dog or a small child that could get into some kind of poison (the property is on The Miami River) to think twice before staying here. Armando was very kind and sympathetic, however nothing will bring back my dog.
This was a great location for us. It was close and easy to get to from the airport. The backyard went right up to the Miami River, so my grandson loved watching when large boats work there way up the river with the help of tug (email hidden)d every Captain had to wave at him... It was on a very quite street and seemed very safe and secure. It has a lovely back patio to enjoy the evening and also sit out and have your morning coffee. Armando was very helpful making sure we had all the information to easily find his home and easily make ourselves at home. I asked him about places to eat locally and he was very helpful about places to eat and exploring Little Havana our first night there. The house was very clean, with bathrooms updated, and the kitchen well supplied if you wanted to cook. With so much great dining we ate out but enjoyed the espresso machine in the morning with our bakery goods from the Versailles Bakery. The free WiFi was appreciated by my son in law who run an internet company and hates to be off the grid....lol. This was a great location with easy access to the tollways to get to South Beach or where ever... We really enjoyed our stay, I wish it was longer...maybe next time....
This is a very good accommodation experience
，The rooms are very clean, tidy, comfortable.
Kitchen, very practical, is rich in kitchen equipment. The washer and dryer has given us great convenience. The owner is also very close to leaving us coffee and snacks. All in all, this is a very good house, sure I will live here next time.
His communications were very good. The house provided few anenities, not as listed in the discription. The block the house was located in was fine, not so the surrounding area.
About the Host, Armando
I've been in Miami nearly all my life. I love the place the weather the people but particularly the ocean the islands and the beaches. Miami has grown up. It's not an old city as some cities are. It's like a young adult... full of life and it's own mixture of culture.
Come and stay at our house and enjoy the only tropical metropolitan area in the continental US. Experience the Architecture, the landscape, the people and the life. My wife Limby and I will make sure you will enjoy a wonderful stay.
