Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Our one-room solar-powered cabin is nestled in 40 acres of rolling hills overlooking the Crow River, where privacy abounds. You'll be staying a half-mile from the main road and a quarter-mile from where you park. When you arrive, you'll feel miles from nowhere and yet only 30 minutes from the western suburbs of Minneapolis. This unique setting is a working farm where you can hike two miles of trails, wet a line, relax, or make the 15-minute drive to find local food and entertainment.

The space
Off-the-grid solar and rustic amenities make this an experience outdoor enthusiasts will love. Surround yourself with open fields and a beautiful river view. Drop your canoe upstream and paddle back to your oasis, or walk on the two miles of private groomed trails.

Enjoy a unique experience of solitude and the outdoors for a romantic getaway, or bring the family and your kayaks/canoes to paddle the beautiful Crow River. Experience central Minnesota like the early explorers as you wind through the area once known as "The Big Woods" Fishing enthusiasts should bring their rod and reel. Walleye and Northern Pike are hiding in the pools and shadows of the Crow River.

Complement your stay with excellent hospitality with local fare in the surrounding communities. Fine cuisine, brewpubs, and entertainment are within a 15-minute drive. If you prefer to stay close to the cabin, you can cook your favorite dish over the grill.

If cycling is more your speed, you are minutes away from two great trails with easy access and safe rides.

Cap off the evening by basking in the glow of a campfire and relive the experiences of the day, before setting off on a quiet night's sleep in this beautifully remote location.

If the kids want to tent, bring it along. Make memories for you and your family. Or, maybe you want to attend the local music events. In that case, you are welcome to bring an additional tent for your adult guests - We limit the guest total to six.

Where you’ll be

Waverly, Minnesota, United States

It's quiet and remote. You won't see people, but you may see wildlife, so bring your binoculars and camera.

Suppose you want a bit more to do around the area. In that case, there are constant activities: outdoor concerts, occasional sales, biking, hiking trails, orchards, brewpubs with local music, art galleries, downhill skiing, sledding, fun runs, bike races, and tons of other activities.

When you go for a walk, you are welcome to visit the building site. The chickens, cats, and dogs will be happy to meet you. All are friendly.

A local dairy farmer is operating the agricultural land. Depending upon the time of year, you may see them harvesting, cutting/baling hay, planting, or doing some other operation. Give them a wave. They're great people!
