My girlfriend and I stayed in the apartment for a month. Overall it was a really enjoyable experience that we'd recommend to others.
We were greeted by Fernando’s friend Marina, and though she spoke little English and we spoke little Spanish, the exchange was very friendly and we understood what we needed to! Fernando speaks fluent English and is just a phone call or text message away to offer answers to questions.
The location is really good. You're about a 2 min walk from Alameda de Hércules. This includes loads of excellent places to eat/drink. The food market is a 5-10 min walk – a great place to grab cheap fresh good quality fruit/veg/meat.
The apartment itself was really clean, modern and well presented. The kitchen had modern appliances (the washing machine came in particularly handy). However, there were a few small damp issues, which we were fine with, but could possibly be addressed.
The only real problem we had was with the wifi.
The apartment is part of a block of four, which are all managed by Fernando and his friend. They all share one wifi router and Internet connection. Sadly, the router was initially limited to 8 connections for the whole block, so we struggled to get on.
To be fair on Fernando, he was suffering with Vodafone’s poor customer service, and was very understanding. He managed to get another router installed after a week or so, doubling the number of connections. This meant we could get on 99% of the time. However, they could really do with a better set-up as the speed wasn’t great at times with all the sharing of the one connection.
We'd definitely return to the apartment – but a more solid Internet connection would be a great improvement.
Muchas gracias
The apartment was in a very good condition, with appropriate amenities.
Fernando was extremely patient and jovial, making us feel very welcomed. He took time to give us a good overview of the sights and cuisine of Seville.
A pretty good place to chill after the day's sightseeing.
Fernando was reliable and extremely helpful. He is completely fluent in English. The apartment is airy, light, clean and comfortable. The appliances work. It is useful to know that in the house rules, there is a 30Euro penalty for checking out before 9 am or after 9 pm.
The studio was clean and exactly as the photos depicted. The location was a good starting point for exploring Sevilla on foot. The studio had some nice touches like a hair dryer and climate control. The beds were extremely comfortable. Someone was there to greet us upon arrival and provided maps and information about the area. In the morning, the street noise can be loud with traffic and pedestrians but otherwise it is quiet. There is a nice plaza right around the corner and about 45 minute walk to Santa Cruz. The neighborhood felt safe. I would recommend this place for a visit to Sevilla.
My girlfriend and I had a very pleasant stay at Fernando's apartment. We stayed for 3 nights as we wanted to have enough time to explore this amazing city. The apartment is located in a small street next to the Alameda de Hercules square which is probably one of the most lively squares in Sevilla, filled with bars, restaurants....
The apartment is a 25min walk to the cathedral but on the way you have the main shopping streets. In a small street next to the alameda the Hercules square you will find a bike rental shop as well as supermarkets open 24/7. The apartment was very clean and modern with a lot of windows. The hosts were very welcoming and responded almost immediately to all my SMS that I had send with questions. Thanks both for the very nice stay.
