Beginning December 2026, stays include our new connected Suite addition, expanding the retreat to 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and sleeping 8, with two private sleeping zones joined by a breezeway.

Beginning with new reservations for stays starting December 1, 2026, Riverwood Wonder expands from our original 2-bedroom, 1-bath cabin into a 3-bedroom, 2-bath retreat sleeping up to 8 guests with the addition of our brand-new Riverwood Suite.
The original cabin and new Suite are connected by more than 500 sq. ft. of covered breezeway with incredible river views from nearly every angle. It creates a unique outdoor living space for enjoying coffee, conversation and the river while staying sheltered from the weather.
The Suite adds a luxurious second sleeping zone with a king bed, built-in bunk nook with trundle, full bath, kitchenette, sitting area, soaring ceilings and a dramatic 12-foot glass slider opening toward the river-view deck.
The two-zone layout is ideal for two couples, two small families, or a family traveling with grandparents—giving everyone extra privacy while still keeping the group connected.
Guests with reservations booked before the Suite expansion should refer to the accommodations included in their original reservation. The Suite is not automatically included with previously booked stays.

Riverwood Wonder is intentionally kept free of plug-ins, artificial air fresheners and heavily scented laundry products. Diffusers and essential oils are available for guests who would like to use them, but they are completely optional.

Riverwood Wonder offers a peaceful, open riverfront setting framed by mature trees and North Georgia nature.
We provide three complimentary kayaks. River access is natural, so guests should expect to step into shallow water to launch or retrieve them. Please use caution, especially after rain.

We only open reservations on dates when subcontractors are not on site, so there will be no active construction during your stay.
Guests staying before completion may see a contained work area or unfinished portions of the addition. The main cabin, hot tub, deck, firepit and river access remain available as booked.
New reservations for stays beginning December 2026 are priced to include the completed Suite and full 3-bedroom, 2-bath Riverwood Wonder experience. Previously booked reservations remain based on the accommodations included when the reservation was made.
Guest access
Guests will have full access to the entire cabin, nearly 5 wooded acres, and 200 feet of private river frontage to enjoy during their stay.
The cabin is accessed via a one-mile gravel road, which is typical for this peaceful rural area and may occasionally have potholes due to weather. An SUV is recommended but not required. Please drive slowly and carefully and enjoy the scenic journey to the cabin.
The driveway to Riverwood Wonder will be down the hill on the right-hand side.

Please note: Riverwood Wonder is a wooded riverfront property with a peaceful, private feel, but it is not completely isolated. One neighboring home may be visible from portions of the driveway or property, with trees and privacy fencing providing separation between the homes.
Fall 2026 property improvement: We are completing a separate guest suite on the property, with remaining work limited to final subcontractors such as roofing, plumbing, electrical, and siding. Construction is scheduled only on weekdays, and reservations are available only when workers will not be on site during the stay.
Weekend stays will run from Friday afternoon through Monday at 9 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Guests may see the unfinished Riverwood Suite, but the main cabin, hot tub, deck, firepit, and river access will remain fully available for your stay.
Exterior Security Cameras: Riverwood Wonder has three visible exterior security cameras for guest and property safety. Cameras monitor the front entrance/driveway, rear entrance, and a wide-angle view of the backyard and riverfront outdoor areas. The rear outdoor camera’s field of view may include the hot tub area. There are no cameras inside the cabin or in any private indoor spaces.
We respect our guests’ privacy. Security footage is reviewed only when reasonably necessary to investigate reported incidents, safety concerns, unauthorized occupancy, or property damage.
