Nestled in the heart of Keaau just south of Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii, our ocean-view retreat offers a peaceful getaway with stunning coastal scenery. The space
Welcome to Hale Kailani, our Sea and Sky House, located on a peaceful half-acre in the Hawaiian Paradise Park community. This inviting island home offers comfortable indoor living paired with beautiful outdoor spaces, making it an ideal retreat for relaxation and adventure.

The lower-level features two bedrooms and a full bathroom, while the upper level boasts a spacious loft-style third bedroom with a ¾ bathroom. The living and dining areas open through sliding glass doors onto a large lanai, perfect for outdoor dining and grilling. Also perfect for seasonal whale watching and amazing sunrise views.

The front yard is beautifully landscaped with a seating area that is perfect for enjoying the sounds of tropical birds. Nighttime landscape lighting allows for fun gatherings in the evening as well. When the sky is clear there is an incredible number of stars in the sky.

For added peace of mind, the home includes a monitored security system with three exterior cameras. The alarm system will be disarmed during your stay unless access is requested; exterior cameras remain active at all times. A wide selection of amenities and gear is provided to help you fully enjoy your time on the Big Island—from ocean adventures to quiet evenings at home.

David and I grew up on Oahu and currently live in Washington State. We have owned Hale Kailani since 2020 and are so happy to be able to share this home with you. We are both in design professions and love this house and yard - it is a work in progress. Its so relaxing and comfortable with room to grow. We visit every 3 months. We hope you enjoy it here as much as we do.
