The Space

Our lovely apartment is located just at the tail end of South Congress, super close to downtown. Tons of great restaurants and shops, like Uncommon Objects, Amy's Ice Cream, Homeslice Pizza, and South Congress Cafe. Feel free to ask for recs, esp in the eating and drinking dept because it's kiiind of what we do best. You'll have your own bathroom, and full access to our kitchen, living room (couches, TV), laundry facilities. Gated community with free visitor parking and a lovely pool.

My roommate Dana and I are usually in and out at home when we're not at work so we will be home, but never in your way! Happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have.

We live right across from a cool convenience store called River City Mart, next to the CVS, and right by the grocery store HEB.

Cabs are pretty cheap to downtown (we're a 5 minute drive) and the bus stop outside our complex runs along South Congress couple bus stops near us (that's about the extent of knowledge of buses we have).

Feel free to message with any questions!

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • I spent a wonderful time in Austin. Thien-Y and Dena are perfect hosts. They helped me out with infos and recommendations. They are really nice and lovely people. The room was very big and I even had a bathroom for myself. The house is perfectly located if you're about to spend your days (and nights) in SoCo - which I truly recommend!

  • Thien-Y and Dana were great hosts! Really gave great advice for local eats and sights. Their apartment is isolated enough away from the SoCo noise and tourism, but close enough to really subject yourself to the masses if you wish. They have an ADORABLE pitbull, whom I miss already. Couldn't have asked for better. Felt 5 years younger just hanging out here.

    Response from Thien-Y:

Steve was great to have around! Really easy to talk to and super friendly. Respectful of our place and left it as is. We'd be happy to have him back any time!

  • Thanks so much for the hospitality. The bed was super comfy and it was nice to have my own shower which I did not expect. The write-up you sent was very informative as well and much appreciated. Had a wonderful meal 5 minutes from your place and breakkie and shopping in the AM. Left Austin with some great memories.

    Response from Thien-Y:

Thanks for staying with us, Mirella! We're sad we didn't get to know you more, but wish you the best of luck with your competitions. Let us know if you're ever back in ATX!

  • Staying at Thien's place was amazing!! You cannot beat the location in terms of being close to the uber-hip, South Congress area--I had three of my best meals in my life on that street!! I would not stay anywhere else just because of the great location! But, what really makes an Airbnb is stay are the people, and Thien and her room mate Dana were the perfect hosts, quickly giving great tips on places to eat and hang out in. When(not if!) you come to Austin, one should definitely stay here as it well worth your money and time. More importantly, you will have the time of your life!

Sunil was amazing! We loved hanging out with him and getting to know him. Really cool, down-to-earth guy, with great stories. Looking forward to meeting him again in the future!

  • Staying with Thien-Y and Dana was like staying with roommates I've lived with all year long. Not only were they incredibly gracious hostesses, they made me feel like a friend. Thien-Y from the moment I contacted her was very responsive, answering every single little question I had and was always so cheerful. I even had extra benefits that I don't think most hosts would provide like as Thien-Y put it, she was my human restaurant and bar app. I would highly recommend staying with them if you're ever in Austin. I know that if I'm ever in Austin, I'd stay with them in a heartbeat.

Laura was a perfect guest--very respectful and friendly. Really enjoyed chatting with her and she's just a really cool chick. <3

  • We loved the location and the cozy apartment. Thien-Y made sure that we have everything that we needed to make our stay great. We would definitely come back.

    Response from Thien-Y:

Tae was great and consistent with communication and left the place cleaner than before! She and her family are welcome to stay with us again any time.

  • Great condo! It's a very good size two bedroom/two bath within a gated community. The home also has a large flat screen to watch movies on which came in handy since it was a freezing this past weekend and we did stay in some! I usually just take the bus when I'm in Austin but because it was so cold we called a taxi and it was only a 12$ cab fare to the heart of dt. The condo is also super clean and an extremely short walk to South Congress's restaurants and shops. Thein-Y was so easy to work with and only needed 30 mins notice for check in which was so convenient. Thein-Y and her roommate have the place decorated really cute and their place has a fun, cozy atmosphere! Definitely recommend staying here!

  • I had a great time in Austin, and that all started because I stayed here! The location could not have been better, plenty of space in the room to stretch out, and was quite comfy. Thien-y's roommate Dana was very knowledgeable, and offered many great suggestions on things to check out. Thanks again so much!

Although I didn't get a chance to meet Justin, my roommate Dana said he was super cool and he actually joined her and some friends for drinks! We'd definitely love to have him stay with us again.

  • I stayed for 3 days, 2 nights in this spacious, yet cozy apartment with a good friend of mine. We felt very comfortable being able to spend as much or as little time as we wanted in the apartment. We cooked some meals in, and the conditions for prepping & cooking food were great. The cleanliness of the apartment is worth bragging about- everything had its place, and was simultaneously very welcoming and comfortable. We had plenty of space in the bedroom for our luggage and for just relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. It actually felt like it was our apartment for the weekend, which is a great feeling considering we were living out of our suitcases. The flexibility with checking in and out was extremely helpful as we had no agenda for the weekend and our plans changed slightly from what we had originally anticipated. It was very easy to communicate with Thien-y throughout the visit to know what the expectations were of us as visitors. The gated community was a nice perk as we were visiting from out of town and felt very safe. The accessibility to downtown was very convenient- we walked everywhere and took cabs if our shoes weren't walking-worthy. Overall, it was the ideal stay, and I will definitely book with Thien-y again the next time I visit Austin!
