The space
You are welcome to use the canoe, at your own risk. Please be cautious and always wear a life jacket.

The house actually has four bedrooms, even thought the listing only says two. This is partially because we don't want to attract huge parties and also because of a discrepancy with city records. We apologize for any confusion! Renters have access to the entire house!

There is a pack-n-play and a highchair, children's books, puzzles, and games for the entire family. Blackout shades or curtains in all bedrooms. Paraben-free and cruelty-free shampoo, conditioner and body wash in all showers. Tear-free shampoo in the master. We've tried to think of everything, so your trip is as carefree as possible!

-No parties.
-No pets (sorry, our son has severe allergies).

Nearby activities:
-Several wineries (including Wolf Mountain, Canvender Creek and Frogtown Wineries)
-Downtown Dahlonega: Dining, shopping, antique shopping, etc.
-Chestatee Wildlife Preserve
-River tubing and Kayak rentals
-North Georgia Premium Outlets
-University of North Georgia
-Gold mining
-BabyLand General (Cabbage Patch "Hospital")

Guest access
Plenty of parking for multiple cars in the Y-shaped driveway. Please do not park in the grass or on the street.

Other things to note
Hideaway Cove is on the northwest side of Lake Lanier, near where the Chestatee River feeds into the lake (you can even kayak/canoe down the river right up to the dock!). The area is perfect for jet skis! Larger boats will want to ride about 5-10 minutes to deeper water, just around the bend.

From the host

Quaint neighborhood at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains that will make you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, even though you're only 20-minutes from just about anything you could imagine. You'll drive past sheep, horses, and even cows on your drive in. Be on the lookout for deer, especially when driving at night!

Our house sits on one of the northern most coves of Lake Lanier, near where the Chestatee River feeds into the lake. It's even possible to kayak down the river right up to the dock!

Where I went to school: Mercer (Karla) & Clemson (Tom)
My work: Teacher
I am a high school math teacher, my husband is a mechanical engineer. Sounds boring, but we love adventure and being outdoors. When we travel, we like to experience the local culture and cuisine. Our favorite trip was to Kauai, where we got engaged, over ten years ago. My bucket list is long, but I hope to check off Greece and Italy soon!
