Great place to stay. Was everything they said great location clean and great people to deal with.
I had a great experience renting Michael's condo. The place was great and I would not hesitate on returning. Mikes Mom assisted with coordinating everything and was prompt with email responses and very informative about the home. The place was very clean when I arrived. The location is prime with an awesome view from the large balcony.
Michael's place was fantastic! The view was so beautiful, it was close to many bars and restaurants. And the fact that it was right across from Doctor's Cave Beach was so convenient. We really enjoyed our stay there, it was the perfect spot.
We visited MoBay for a friend's wedding, and wanted to avoid the all-inclusive resorts. This apartment was the perfect alternative. We arrived in the afternoon, were greeted at the door, strolled down the hip strip to have some fabulous jerk pork at the Pork Pit, and the next morning walked across the street to the famous Doctor's Cave Beach, arriving well before the cruise ships during the placid morning hours (and got a hand stamped to return later without paying again). Air conditioning kept the apartment nice and cool, even during the heat and humidity of late July, and the shop in the building downstairs let us save money by buying toast and fruit to eat for breakfast. Our only complaint was the wifi--even though it was mentioned in the posting, we weren't given any information about the network or password and didn't have access to it. Fortunately, it turned out that another couple attending the same wedding were renting Michael's other apartment next door, and they gave us the info; the wifi was only accessible from our bedroom (closest to the neighboring apt) but it worked just fine once we had the password. Great location--we definitely recommend it.
This apartment exceeded all our expectations from the view of the apartment to the actual location of the building. It was very comfortable inside and very spacious. The interior was quaintly decorated and the apartment was well furnished. When we arrived, the housekeeper warmly welcomed us and gave us a brief orientation. Everyone from the guard outside to the little supermarket owner downstairs were friendly. I highly recommend staying at this apartment for anyone visiting Montego Bay.
I wish I could've extended my stay. The apartment is super convenient for Doctors Cave Beach and has great views of the water. I loved the beach - it was worth the $6 you pay to get in (you can get your hand stamped if you want to leave and come back the same day). The water was crystal clear and calm, white sand, and there were small grape trees for shade - I set up under one of the trees so I didn't have to rent an umbrella. It was not crowded at all which was great - I was told the cruise ships come in on Wednesdays so it's probably more crowded then. I was barely in the apartment, but it had everything you would need to feel at home. It's very spacious and clean. The modem for the wifi is in the adjoining apartment so I could only pick up the signal in the bedroom. The bed and pillows were really comfy. There was a power outage the first night I was there from about 11pm until sometime in the wee hours of the morning. I was told that this is fairly common in Jamaica. It wasn't a big deal, but it would've been handy to have a flashlight or candles - I used my phone for light. If I make it back to Montego Bay, I would definitely stay here again!
