  • We had a great time at the Surf Haven. Everything was exactly as advertised and the location is amazing. You walk outside and the ocean is across the street, not to mention the main Depoe Bay strip of restaurants and shops being right next door.

Couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my birthday. Thanks so much Daniel!

  • This was a perfect match for us! We had a group of guys that came down for a one night stay at the Surf Haven. The view was amazing and the place was roomy for all of us. It's located right in Depot Bay so we walked to the bar to watch some March Madness and eat some seafood when we got there. We woke up early to head to Salishan Golf course for 36 holes of golf Saturday. I will be staying at the Sea Haven next year, for sure! Thanks Daniel!

  • I stayed at Surf Haven with my family: 4 adults and 2 teenagers total, for 3 nights. The location was perfect! THe house was directly across the street from a great spot to watch the waves and the sunset! There was a really great beach/rock area nearby to explore the natural habitat. Lincoln City and Newport was quick drives away.

The house itself was spacious enough to allow everyone enough room for solo activities when desired. We put all the adults in the bedrooms and left the teenagers in the main room on the sofa beds. They enjoyed having access to the TV late at night.

The kitchen was well stocked with supplies (utensils, bakeware, cookware, pots) for making our own meals the whole trip. There was some difficulty in divvying the bedding and towels so that everyone had everything they needed to be comfortable. Luckily we had brought some of our own supplies.

Overall, we had a great time exploring the area and enjoying the fantastic early spring weather!

  • I had a great off-season week here with a couple friends. Daniel was a very responsive host. The pad is basic but the main room is huge and in general it's just as advertised: right across the street from crashing waves, and right at the end of the short "downtown" of Depoe Bay. Which makes it a great location for visiting lovely spots up and down the coast, from a town smaller than Newport or Lincoln City. Free tip for runners: find the nature trail along the creek behind the harbor.

  • Nice, spacious duplex across the street from the beach seawall. Close to everything and Depoe Bay is a cute little town. Daniel was courteous and everything went smooth for us. The kitchen is basic if you are planning on cooking anything elaborate. I think there is supposed to be a hot tub, but we weren't sure and wasn;t a priority anyway. Thanks Dan!

  • This was a great place for the 5 of us. We needed flexible sleeping arrangements in a clean space for my wife and me, along with 3 teenagers, and this apartment came through in spades. It's right on the highway, but the highway is quiet at night, and you get the spray almost in your face when you step out the door. Plus you can walk to the Sea Hag. What could be better? Thanks, Daniel!

  • Nice location on the main drag of Depoe Bay. I was nervous about 1/2 the sleeping spots being in the main room, but the children slept just fine. The house is quiet, despite the highway and ocean being so close. It proved an excellent location for exploring the central Oregon coast.

  • We made a nice crab dinner one night and clams with pasta the next. We had what needed to cook with lots of plates and utensils, made eating in easy and nice. Two of the beds are in the living room so with our snorer we had to make adjustments. We enjoyed our stay.

  • Access to the property was great. We had a dog along with us and there was a nice side yard for her to use. Across the street from the ocean was excellent for whale watching or just people watching. Inside was clean and had pretty much everything you needed for comfort. With 7 of us, having an extra bathroom would have been 5 star, but we managed nicely. Thanks Daniel for having such a nice place for us to stay.

  • Dan was able to accommodate a last minute booking. The location is fabulous! Restaurants and lots of caramel corn and taffy close by. A short drive to the tide pools at Yaquina Head and Devils Punch Bowl. Ample space and parking. Definitely would book again!
