The apartment locates at the old town in Chicago. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, you can walk to Eva's Cafe a very cute coffee shop for a cup of nice coffee in the morning. The apartment modern and clean, it has a large balcony with a grill, which would be perfect for a good weather.
Very spacious and welcoming loft. These owners were great at communicating with us prior to the visit.
The apartment was fine, though there were small things here and there that we didn't like. When we first messaged Steve and JoAnne with a specific question regarding parking, they replied with what seemed to be a automated or canned response pitching the place to us. We had to message them again to get our question answered. Further, the rate they stated for the nearby parking lot was $16, though when we got there we found it was $27.
The building itself is fine, though a little-run down. The hallways are cold and uninviting. The apartment was ok, but needed some work. A drawer on the TV stand was broken and didn't close correctly, the walls and ceiling were marked up, and the stereo didn't work.
We stayed here with 4 people, so part of our decision to stay here was having the sleeper sofa and the extra linens and pillows provided. Unfortunately, extra comforter did not have a duvet on it and had a few stains on it. The extra pillows also did not have pillow cases.
Overall, the place was fine. The view was nice, as was the location, but the apartment itself left a lot to be desired and made us partially regret our decision to stay in this place.
The host made me feel welcome. The area was cool. The amenities here are amazing. The doorman is friendly.
However, there was only 1 towel, and 1 roll of toilet paper. There was no paper towel.
If you stay here, make sure to bring absolutely everything you would want.
Fantastic location and very cool loft/warehouse apartment complex. Joanne was extremely responsive and helpful. The apartment is in good condition and easy to access. We were looking for two beds and I was disappointed that the second bed was an uncomfortable pull out couch. The shower drain backs up leaving a pool/bath of water. Hoping that is an easy fix.
