  • Señola Rosa and her husband are very kind and made me warm until I felt like here is my home during staying.

Besides security is perfect and there are very safe around there places!

  • I don't generally write negative reviews as many times its a matter of personal taste. But given Rosa's outlandish and racist review of my parents stay at her "estudio," I should forwarn future guests that you get what you pay for. And in this case, $25/night pays for this list of unspeakable conditions. The roof is not a real finished roof, but rather planks of shoddy wood that rains not water but continual saw dust. You might as well be living in a lumber mill. The refrigerator was so rusty and dirty, you'd think it was owned by a serial killer. The bedding and sheets were so old and soiled that the lint balls could actually be called decorative. What's underneath the sheets is an even more wonderful surprise....a colony of ants, joined by a squadron of flies. The reason my poor 65 year old "Chinese" mother was screaming at midnight is that she was cursing my cheap father for choosing such a place. So if you want to save money and stay in a havel, then $25 may be a small sacrifice. Or, if you are of the open mind that you should experience what real down and out Mexicans live like at home, then this is the anthropological trip you've been waiting for.

    Response from Rosa:

I am writing this letter from reflections from my canadian husband who has hands on experience with many races of people as he has lived in a very large multicultural area ,I am mexican and I have a very little experience with chinese , i have had many different races of people staying here with no problems . currently as I write I have a japanese tenant and we get allong super ! i told your parents that if they were not happy ,i will not touch their money and that they are free to leave and look for another accomodation . their oney will be return to them with no problem whatsoever! it seems strange that screaming on arrival at night with the "seriousness " of the conditions of the "estudio " they still managed to stay for the full 3 days as they are probably used to it as most slum landlords in Canada are chinesse !your mother attittude since she arrived was very ofensive and rude . your "poor" 65 years old mother whos was screaming like a lunitec close to midnight would have not been allowed to check in at that time for any amount of money ,never mind for 25 dolars in a tourist resort city !but especially in a private family house anywhere in Cancun! living in the caribean has some inconveniences that most countries dont have like gas for hot water that is delivered 2 or 3 days after you run out of gas , we have 3 months of continuos rain and lots of inconveniences of humidity that ruins all the electrical devices as frigs and stoves that they get rusty . my husband gave me shit for allowing them wi fi in any resort that would be at least 20 dolars a day ,I pay a clean up lady to clean and desinfect everything and the saw dust is something that its difficult to control when you have a wodden ceiling but any of these invonveniences justify your mother attitude , screaming and hollering without any consideration or respect for nobody else around , i told her that me and my husband have to wake up at 5 am to go to work ,she didnt care, she keep screaming ! now i know that i should call the cops at that very moment! that will teach a lesson to your "poor mother " to show a little bit of respect and courtesy in a foreign country! 99% of the people in Cancun they woud done that or physically though them out to the street ! without any money back ! my husbsand told me not to take it so personal he knows that chinese are the most ignorant ,cheap chizeling jerks on the face of earth and that they are BY FAR THE MOST RACIST OF ANY RACE OF PEOPLE IN EXISTENCE , this issue has nothing to do with racism as your mother said ! but with the rude ,and ignorant attitudeand lack of educations and manners of your "poor " mother .!!

  • Rosa and her husband were really nice and helpful, they have lots of information about places to go and how to get there, the house is located fairly near the hotel zone and the bus station, in a quiet and safe zone, the place itself have good space and comfy bed, kitchen equipment ideal for simple meals, not as clean but decent. Good value for money.

  • Rosie and her husband were most kind to us. Rosa took the time to take us around the area when we arrived to show us locations of restrurants and shopping spots and gave us hints for bus travel. Later in the stay Rosa took us to the ferry on her way to work early in the morning --quite a distance! We are most grateful.

  • This house is located in the city center, close to the market, where you can find cheap cafes, and restaurants, as well as supermarkets Wolmart and Chedrawi. But in spite of that, around the house quiet and peaceful and a small garden. Inside, there is everything you need to living: bed, table, chairs, kitchen, refrigerator, bathroom and TV. Rose shown and told me the necessary information on how to get anywhere. Better price you will not find, house in the downtown of the city at a price of a bed in a common room of hostel!!!
