The space
Our cottage is located in the Alpine Village Community. The swimming pool is usually open between Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend, weather permitting. We have a Clubhouse with a pool table, games, books, to borrow and a shuffleboard court. There is a fire pit on the swimming pool deck for your use too!

We are in the Western North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains - where it is always springtime with clean mountain air.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pan, dishes, bakeware, etc.

We provide all linens. We also provide trash bags, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, hand and bath soap, etc.

NON-DISCLOSURE OF PETS WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EVICTION AND NO REFUNDS!

Utility outages (power, cable, internet) are out of our control and we make every effort for a quick resolve. There are no adjustments or refunds during outages.

There is keyless entry. The access code 0417

Hemlock 2 is the 3rd building on the left after you enter Alpine Village.

Parking is right in front on the concrete parking area.

You are renting the entire cottage plus access to the Alpine Village amenities: Clubhouse including the great room, pool table, books, games, shuffleboard court all at no charge.

Other things to note
Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 Quiet Time: 10pm to 8:00 am

Please dispose of your trash in the dumpster on property at the end of Fawn Drive. There is a side door on the dumpster. Toss your bag as far to the back as possible. Do not throw trash bags on top of the dumpster. Since we are surrounded by a Forest, there is wildlife that would tear into trash bags if left outside. So please don't leave any trash bags sitting on the porch either.

We provide the following: Paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, laundry tabs, toilet paper, bath soap, shampoo, salt & pepper, coffee filters and some coffee to get you started.

Utility outages (power, cable, internet, telephone & water) or swimming pool repairs and maintenance are out of our control. We make every effort for a quick resolve. There are no adjustments or refunds due to outages or availability.

Neighborhood highlights

Hemlock 2 at 417 Overlook Dr. is in Alpine Village which is a small cluster of cottages in a quaint resort setting. Adjacent to the Community Clubhouse, there is a heated salt water swimming pool that is usually open between Memorial Day & Labor Day Weekends - 10am to dusk, weather permitting. Enjoy the gas fire pit on the pool deck. The Clubhouse has a pool table and a shuffle board court.

We are in the shadow of Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak East of the Mississippi. Pisgah National Forest surrounds the area with wild life, streams, hiking trails, close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Rhododendrons abound, Mountain Laurel and many indigenous flowers and trees.

There are beautiful mountain views everywhere you look!

Dave is a professional. Christa is a retired teacher, plays tennis, volunteers and an avid reader. Both enjoy golf. We like to spend time with our family and friends and love to travel to various cities in the USA and some traveling abroad. We own three cottages - Mt. Mitchell 1 & 2 and Hemlock 2, so if you need additional accommodations, let us know. Christa's Mother, Brenda Brooks, is the Property Manager and lives at Alpine Village.
