This cozy cottage is perfect for you who appreciate being in nature, hiking along beautiful hiking trails, fishing and perhaps a morning swim from the private jetty.
Borrow our plastic boat for a fishing trip on the lake or walk along the paths and fish from shore.
The cottage is a perfect starting point for excursions to, among other things, our fantastic Tiveden National Park, Karlsborg Fortress or experience the Göta Canal locks in Forsvik. We offer top quality wifi!
The space
The cottage was built in the early 1900s as an extension to the main building that was built in 1810. It is located right on the lake and offers beautiful views of the water.
There is a rich birdlife here, but there is also the opportunity to meet both beavers, deer, moose and other wildlife.
The main room in the cottage has a double bed, a desk, wardrobe space and antique furniture. There is also a TV with Chromecast.
The kitchen has been restored with more modern amenities such as fridge / freezer, microwave, coffee maker and so on.
The bathroom is modern with a shower. Everything you need for a comfortable holiday.
Edet is a living farm, where we have goats, chickens with a rooster and three golden retrievers. This means that you may wake up to our chickens clucking, the rooster crowing (even early in the morning), goats bleating, birds chirping and sometimes our dogs barking a little from time to time.
We think this is part of country life, but if you are sensitive to these sounds, we recommend that you bring a pair of earplugs (especially if you are a light sleeper in the morning).

- I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health authorities and I wear protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination
- I follow cleaning checklists to thoroughly clean each room
- I provide extra cleaning equipment, so you can clean during your stay
- I follow local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines
For those traveling with pets:
Pets are warmly welcome to Edets Gård provided they are house broken/house trained and that you as the owner are responsible for the animal not causing damage to property or other animals on the farm. If you have questions about staying with pets, you are welcome to contact the host before booking.
We reserve the right to post-charge the actual cost of damage caused by accompanying pets.

The cottage is about 25 km från Töreboda with regular train service to Stockholm and Goteborg. 20 km in the other direction you find cozy summer town Karlsborg by the lake Vättern, that offers restaurants, museums, outdoor events and much more. From here you can easily reach Töreboda and Karlsborg as well as nearby Tiveden National Park with unspoilt forests, lakes and beautiful hiking trails. Stenkällegården leisure center with downhill skiing, ice fishing, and many other activities is also close by.
