Field cottage is around 200 years old, being built before 1823 and was originally two cottages used by workers of the brick quarry. Much of our inspiration comes from Bermuda, where we lived for 4 years. Some of the furniture and art is from Bermuda, where we scavenged to find treasures that would remind us of its friendliness, history and beauty. Other pieces of furniture are family heirlooms and antiques. We are now bringing in some inspiration from Switzerland, where we now live, such as sheepskins and rugs for enjoying being al fresco on cooler days.
