I travel to Nicaragua every 3 months. This was my 4th trip, each time I have stayed somewhere different. Glen's place is the best thus far. I will be staying there from now on.

I stayed at Glenn's place for a month. Overall I had a very good experience. The place is located 10 minutes by foot from the center of Granada and 5 minutes from 2 big supermarkets. The apartment is very comfortable, had everything I needed and the wifi works ok. All the window…

Apartment was fantastic with great amenities (very cold AC, very hot water). It's a great location, about a 15 minute walk from the center in a very nice neighborhood. Everything is well maintained and well decorated at the apartment. This particular apartment doesn't get a lot o…

Glenn is an awesome host, the kindest I have stayed with in my travels. His apartments are exceptional for Nicaragua, built to what you would find in the US. Hot water, A/C if you need it and are exactly as described. His staff is helpful and keeps the property clean at all t…

I had a great experience here. Room was exactly as described. The property overall is very attractive and an easy walk to the center of town. And best of all Glenn and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay here.

We had an incredible experience in the apartment that Glen provided. The space was perfect and we lacked nothing. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming when we came back after a day out. Because we lived in Managua for 2 years we have friends here and we enjoyed inviting…

Staying at Vista Mombacho wasn't bad but unfortunately it was my few Airbnb experiences that wasn't great either. The apartment was laid out as pictured, but doesn't have sunlight as pictured (the windows open to a first floor walkway instead of the outdoors). While it does menti…

Response from Glenn:
I will move the section on the electricity higher on the list so it will be more clear. The sign that says Vista Mombacho Apartments is about 36" high and is exactly where is says it is on the Airbnb directions. The law will not allow a larger lettering. The internet comes from the provider, not us. To overcome their shortages we have installed 3 more routers across the property which has helped the signal a lot. When people stream movies it takes the signal away from everyone but that is difficult to control. Our staff speaks English and has a lot of information and brochures as well as plain English discussion on local events and attractions in the area and are more than willing to take the time to help you. We do not have age discrimination and accept people from all over the world. Currently we have a couple from the Canary Islands who are here adopting a child and a couple from Ireland. Those are the only people that are not from the USA or Canada. The last count was people from 32 countries who have stayed with us. I apologize for not being more present. Normally I personally greet the guest, give a tour of the property and an orientation as to things to see and do in Granada and the surrounding area. Unfortunately the day of your arrival my best fried died and I was very occupied in notifying his family abroad and making arrangements for his remains. In Nicaragua we do not embalm so it is very important that a disposition be made within hours on the body. In retrospect I should have had my wife come down and greet you. She had some classes that morning but she could have cancelled them to see you. In your private feedback you mentioned that you had to pay to use the stove. All the appliances in the kitchen are included in the rental. There is no extra charge for anything. It is a gas stove anyway, not electric so just sitting there costs nothing and I pay for the gas. Thank you for the kind comments about being able to bring your dog and how safe the property is. We only have one door and there is a doorman there 24/7 and no one is permitted on the property unless they are a guest or a friend of a guest so there are no strangers roaming the property.

My wife and I came to Granada on holiday from Austin, Texas over 18 years ago and fell in love with the city. Since then we have come and gone many times and have built 3 houses and a 10 unit apartment complex. My wife is an artist and loves going to art classes here. One of t…
