I had a marvellous stay at Maria and Jaume's lovely little apartment in Binissalem. I'm so glad I chose the town to be based for five nights on a four day cycle tour around Majorca. The apartment is delightful. Beautifully decorated and arranged, incredibly clean, absolutely comfortable. The bedroom is a particularly lovely space. Maria, Jaume, and the two girls are a very warm family and the perfect hosts. Incredibly welcoming and advising. I loved Binissalem; traditional and quaint. The imposing and impressive church looks over the main town square, which always seems to be alive with community at most hours of he day. Dusk was a very relaxing time to be there. My time here was a real treat. It will not be long before I return. Thanks Maria, Jaume, and girls.
In a nutshell: me and my girlfriend had a marvellous stay in Maria's flat in Binissalem.
The pictures are absolutely consistent with the place; it's cosy and kind of arty at the same time ;-). And: perfectly clean.
Next to the place, there's a very nice atrium, to hang out and read. The kitchen, while perhaps not fully equipped, is more than decent and if you want to fix yourself a simple evening meal, you will be able.
What's more is that Binissalem is the very definition of "not touristic". It's a good spot to start car drives or hikings to the mountains from. Yet you will hardly spend more than half a day in the old part of the city itself - but what you see is really nice, and very typical of the Baleares.
All in all, again a great thank you to Maria and her nice family!
Maria and Jaume are really wonderful people ! They helped us a lot when we had difficulties and Maria was always really fast to answer, even from work. The place is nice, well decorated and I felt in love with the bed. The neighborhood is really charming. The only thing that disturb us a little was that there is no door to separate the toilets from the bedroom so for intimacy it's not the best ^^ but that's the only negative point, all the rest is perfect and I would definitely recommend this place and the kindness of the hosts !!
We had a lovely stay in Binissalem over the Christmas-New Year period. It's easy to get to from Palma without a car (about 30 min by train, and Maria's house is 1 min walk from the station). Highly recommend Binissalem if you're looking for something rustic, yet accessible.
Maria's house was lovely. It's a small little apartment adjacent to her house with a living area/kitchenette downstairs and a bedroom/bathroom upstairs. What we loved:
- Great heating over the winter
- Shower was nice and strong, a treat that many travelers know not to take for granted
- Bed was comfortable/firm
- Basic kitchen amenities provided: small fridge, hot water kettle, microwave, basic cooking utensils, etc. and dishes
Some potential downsides (though they weren't major issues for us because we were looking to disconnect for a few days):
- Wifi is provided but signal was weak when we were there as routers are in Maria's house and there were uncharacteristically strong winds; having said that, most restaurants in Binissalem offer free wifi
- Toilet/shower is separated from bedroom by a wall with no door, so for more than 1 person staying there, toilet and sleep routines or for people that like their privacy could be an issue
Maria and the town folks of Binissalem were wonderful. The food and wine is inexpensive, and it's a nice mid point to visit other towns all over the island. We'll definitely be back!
Few sentences can not describe our experience in Maria's (website hidden) was our first time using airbnb and it was indeed an amazing experience!! Maria and her lovely family are so warm, happy and generous that we really felt like part of their family! The house is exactly as in the pictures, beautiful, cozy and fully equipped. We had some wonderful breakfasts in the garden together with Maria's family, discussing about several things and enjoying some delicious ensaimadas with warm chocolate!! The house is located in Binissalem, a very beautiful village in the central part of Mallorca, the train station is 2 min, from the house and has a very good conection with many different places in the island. We visited many wondefrul places in the island but still there are plenty of the them that we will come back to explore in the future. There is no second thought about Maria's place. It is a great opportunity to see a beautiful family and get some very helpful advices for your trip in Mallorca and enjoy the cozy and warm house.

We enjoyed our stay in Maria's nice place!
The house is just like you can see from the pictures... tiny, shiny very comfortable and in a great nabourhood.
If you visit this place you can look forward to a great time in Binissalem and meeting Maria and her wonderful family.
Spanish hospitality at its best ;)
What a great experience, Mallorca in autumn! Maria and Jaume do their best for us and their little house is really warm, cozy and very confortable and easy to stay in. Binissalem is the perfect place to be in Mallorca, well communicated and near every special place to visit. We will come back!! Moltes gracis... Ana & Ramon
We had a wonderful time in Marias and Jaumes guest house. They were extraordinary hosts, very friendly and attentive. Maria surprised us with an invitation to a vernissage and with some delicious mallorquin specialities (Great Hot Chocolate!). If we needed anything Maria and Jaume organized it immediately. Also they know Mallorca very good and they had really good advices for our trips. The little house was comfortable, only to cook something was a bit difficult because you only have one cooking plate. Binissalem was for us a perfect place to discover Mallorca by rental car. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and can recommand Maria and her house without any reservation.
We had a great stay at Maria´s apartment. Maria and her husband greeted us warmly and were very uncomplicated and helpful. The apartment is very nice (great bed!) and equipped with everything you need. The town of Binissalem is very neat; much more typical spanish than most other areas of Mallorca. However, the streets are narrow so be aware of that! :) I would def. recommend staying at Maria´s place!
The small village of Binissalem, nestled in the heart of Mallorca, is a wonderful spot to spend a few days or weeks. Maria and Jaume were perfect hosts, friendly, open and eager to share their knowledge of this glorious island. Their place (DON'T be fooled by the word "Tiny" in the description--it's a perfect space for a couple!) is beautifully furnished, clean and well equipped. You will love the sun-drenched mornings in the private courtyard, drinking coffee after sleeping peacefully away the silent night. If your life is hectic, noisy and stressful in a big city somewhere and you long for some time away to decompress, experience a friendly, non-touristy town and enjoy tasty local wines, this is the place for you! With Palma just a short train ride away, you have the benefit of all the creature comforts and shopping. Or you can sit on the terrace of a local restaurant and stare up at the thousands of stars you probably forgot were there. Enjoy!
