  • - Can I stay here forever? I could clean and wash the dishes! - said my wife, when we were leaving Nicolette and Ed's place. This sums it up, I guess, better than any review.

The place was flawless, even though the weather wasn't too generous for us. But waking up every morning to the hum of the ocean and having a delicious breakfast on the porch with our co-guests (Nicci somehow managed to surprise us every single morning with her breakfast menu, although I think I will never be a fan of pineapple sausage) - that was the pinnacle of our stay in Oahu. The room, however small, is quite comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and clean.

Nicolette and Ed are a lovely couple, sharing great stories about their house and the surroundings. Even the conjugal banter, which I had usually found cheesy in other couples, in their case has some unique grace.

I don't always come to Hawai'i, but when I do, I prefer to stay at Nicolette and Ed's.

  • We had a wonderful stay with Nicolette and Ed. This was by far the highlight of our time in Hawaii. The breakfasts were AMAZING and Nicolette was kind enough to accommodate my gluten allergy (best gluten free pancakes and waffles I've ever tasted!). We enjoyed listening to Ed's stories and advice about places to visit in the area. This B&B is everything that it promises and more and we will certainly recommend it to all of our friends/family. On a side note, we had forgotten a bag at Nicolette and Ed's, but didn't realize it until we were already back in Waikiki. Nicolette happened to be coming into the city the next day and was kind enough to drop it off at our hotel for us to save us the trip back. They are truly some of the nicest people you'll ever meet! We'll be back!

  • Nicolette and Ed could not have been more hospitable, helpful and friendly. Their house is charming and peaceful right on the ocean. Sitting outside and watching the surf roll in was very relaxing. Their breakfasts DELICIOUS!

  • Younger people like this place as they can get in a morning swim then come up for Ed's just ground Seattle coffee , fresh fruit salad ( Not canned ) , & changing menu of delicacies by Nicolette ( like banana pancakes , french toast , pineapple pork or apple chicken sausage , quiche , croissant loaded with egg & bacon ) & then head back into the ocean .
I however , highly recommend it for people who have been doing those 80+ hour weeks at a job or caring for family & are in serious need of the mental vacation .
You awake to a warm day surrounded by lush tropical greenery & the pacific ocean lapping at your doorstep .
You are then free to linger over the savory breakfast while watching the miles of surf break . You can even get in some internet time if you need to catch up on news , but it's the freedom to relax in such a great place that makes the Davis's place a total keeper .

  • Nicolette and Ed run a wonderful B&B! We had a great time relaxing on Oahu and staying in their beautiful house. The breakfast was excellent and they're a wonderful and charming couple with an ocean of hospitality. They had great recommendations of other places to see and dine at everywhere on the island. The room and the views were picture-perfect.

  • What a wonderful experience we had with Nic and Ed at their beautiful home! Their place is simply gorgeous, oceanfront heaven and would have loved for more time with them. Nicolette is nothing short of a gourmet cook and we were bowled over by her breakfasts! Her nurturing personality even went as far as making them to individual's best interest with mine being diabetic friendly and another couple's vegetarian...who does that anywhere? Their's was the only B&B that prepared daily full course breakfast (we stayed at 4 during our trip) and even asked when we would like to eat. Ed's chats about the area with suggestions of things not to miss were most helpful. He told us about the best shaved ice spot not to be missed, 3 yums up Ed!
Overall, they and their home was the best experience of our whole trip and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

  • We were lost from words.
30 minutes from Honolulu, Eds and Nics house is situated on the beautiful windward side of O'ahu. Right at the beach.
So the first thing we saw in the morning when we looked out the window was the clear blue of the Pacific Ocean. What a view.
We also loved the delicious breakfast, prepared freshly every morning.
Can you think of anything better than sitting on a terrace at the ocean enjoying waffles, fruit salad and spotting a turtle once in a while?

  • FABULOUS!!! That's the one word that describes our stay with Nicolette and Ed! I felt like I had just arrived home when Nicolette greeted us upon arrival. Nicolette and Ed are wonderful hosts that immediately felt like family. We arrived a little early so our room wasn't quite ready so Nici and Ed were nice enough to invite us upstairs into their living quarters to watch the football game that my fiance was missing. The house is comfortable, beautiful and much like the hosts very welcoming! They were quite helpful too, in giving us the inside scoop on where to eat and what to do and see on the island. If you happen to forget sunscreen or shampoo no worries because the bathroom was nicely stocked with the basics. Breakfast was a huge highlight because Nici's food is superb and lots of it! Oh yeah and I can't forget the coffee and all the fresh yummy fruit that Ed prepared for us too! ;) I loved the mornings having my coffee on the deck while watching the waves and the turtles pop their heads up from the sea. They also boast a nicely appointed shed stocked with boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach umbrella, beach chairs, even a canoe. The location is perfect for exploring the north shore as its a scenic 30-40 minute drive and also 30 minutes from Waikiki. Our stay was truly heaven on earth and I do hope to be able to return soon! Mahalo Nicolette and Ed!!!

  • ALOHA What a great time we had at Ed and Nicolette's. Everything that other people have written I fully agree with. At first I was worried that the reviews were made up, but nope, everything was just as had been reported. There is one thing that I would like to mention, Ed's fruit bowls were GREAT !

  • This is the dream Air BnB experience - beautiful home, great location, amazing hosts, lots of amenities. So relaxing and wonderful, we wished we'd booked our whole trip there. Nicolette and Ed are very special hosts, and made us feel so welcome. We really enjoyed the beautiful oceanside reading in the morning, and the full size BBQ and lanai in the evening. Plus the breakfasts! Yum!

I can not imagine a better way to experience the islands, and I can not speak highly enough of this home or these hosts. Best of the best! We can't wait to come back.

My husband Ed and I are retired business professionals. We enjoy staying in B&Bs and thought our house would be a perfect fit. We have lived in Hawaii for over 25 years, rebuilt our home in 1995 and found our house has out grown us. We like to have friends and family visit, but we feel we would like to share it with new friends, and added income. We enjoy our home, traveling, family, theater, movies, sports, the arts, books, and intertaining. Ed has recently retired from his second career of high school softball coaching and since we are people persons, I feel this might fill the void. We are looking forward to your staying with us.
