This Hostel turned out to be a really bad choice for us. First of all just after you enter this place you find out that there are no shoes allowed inside. What is more even flip-flops are prohibited in the whole hostel (excluding showers). As a consequence plenty of people don't use them at all. They enter toilets on bare feet and bring all bacteria back to the carpet on which flip-flops are prohibited. Absolutely disgusting thing!
Because of these silly rules my leather Nike shoes were stolen. When I came back in the evening to the hostel I saw that my shoes were not there. I reported this fact to the receptionist immediately. He said that probably someone borrowed them from me because sometimes people do such things and that we should wait until the next morning. This absolutely ridiculous explanation didn't convince us and we demanded to see the recording. At the beginning the guy said that they had a blackout during the daytime and probably lost all the recordings but after a while he finally agreed to play it. It turned out that one of the guests forgot to close the door. Even though the whole hostel is under CCTV surveillance the Indian guy who was in the reception (I don't remember his name but there were just two people in the reception during our stay - a girl and this Indian guy) didn't notice that for a few minutes. In that time some guy ran into the hostel and took my shoes. We saw it all on the recording. Obviously, as the fact of robbery was recorded, we wanted to call the police but the Indian guy said that it was senseless because in this country police has better things to do than chase shoe-thieves. when we informed him that this was a big case for us because these shoes cost me around 80 USD he commented that in Kuala Lumpur's bazaars I could get any shoes for not more than 20 USD so I should not exaggerate! Can you imagine this? All in all we didn't even hear any apologies from the Hostel's staff. Two days after our departure I got a text message saying that they will pray for me and wish me all the best. Absolutely unbelievable! I will definitely never visit this Hostel again and recommend you to stay away from it.
Location is amazing, right across street from china town....great for walking around the city. The folks at reception are really nice too and always willing to provide any help. Also there's always someone at reception 24 hours, which made me feel much safer. Good stay there.
Quite convenient location, just one minute to LRT and bus station. Lisa and the guy(sorry I forget his name) were very kind, thank you! Constructions across the road might last for a few more months, but there are quiet rooms close to shower rooms.
We stayed in this hostel and we liked it :)
location is great and there are some good vegetarian restaurant near hostel. Guys on the reception are very friendly and helpful. thank you very much!
This is my first time rent a room from airbnb. I have booked a room for my friend from Taiwan. She really enjoy staying at Suzie's Guesthouse. Khalid was so nice and taken good care of my friend. If I have friends visiting Malaysia again, I will definitely recommend Suzie's Guesthouse.
Suzie's is an excellent hostel to stay in while in KL. The staff were very friendly, the place itself is kept very clean by a hardworking lady who seems to be always there, and the kitchen/shower facilities are convenient. The kitchen offers free, round the clock teas and coffees and the WIFI is robust and fast.
The location also couldn't be better with KL's free buss link just around the corner, and in the opposite direction, about 150m, lies Chinatown.
All in all a great stay and would definitely recommend.
Very good experience we had at suzie's!! The hostel is so clean!! everytime is clean..is very close to the Pasar Seni train station, and also to the stop of the free service bus, wich is great service, can take you to the Petronas, and to other places...
You have coffe and tea at the hostel everytime you want..and the breakfast is served till 10.30 and is (email hidden)ead, mermelade, honey...
Les recomendamos el hostel!! muy buen precio :)
Great staff and fantastic location on the city! Nice aircon as well!
