Sarah is a relaxed, open and charming host. She is generous in every sense of the word and her lovely home reflects her personality: comfortable, rustic with a quirky collection of “special things” and tasteful antiques. She is well traveled and fascinating to talk with, as I am sure her husband Tristan would have been had he been home during my stay. The house itself is a restored stable with a wonderful view of the tiny, historical village of Burnsall in a breathtaking setting. Words can not describe this extraordinary “little bit of heaven” in the Yorkshire Dales. The room was conveniently located on the ground floor, making it is easy to go and come without disturbing the family on the 1st floor. When I did join Sarah and her 9 month old daughter Cecily during breakfast and while preparing a few meals, it was always a delight to exchange a few tales; and a few smiles with good natured Cecily. Sarah was very easy going about the use of her kitchen and very nice bathroom — no awkwardness there which is not always the case with shared facilities. This was a special Airbnb experience for me - one I will not likely forget. I highly recommend Sarah’s “Double Room in Cosy Dales Cottage”!
Ahhhh Sarah is just such a wonderful person. Not to forget her charming baby daughter. She made me feel so welcome and my stay a real pleasure. We shared bathroom but that was no problem at all. Her home was a delight and I would recommend everyone to be her guest.
The village was very special for me as a Scandinavian with the Viking heritage right across the road in the historical church with remains of my ancestors. The surroundings and the village is the most beautiful place on earth!
Sarah was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to accommodate me for the weekend. The house is perfectly situated in a beautiful village with a lovely local pub. Thanks for having me Sarah and Tristen!
Lovely stable conversion in the heart of the dales. Sarah was both welcoming and flexible, helping us with to get the most from our short stay. Great pubs nearby. Thanks very much sarah!
We had an absolutely beautiful time in the Yorkshire Dales and Sarah advised us on lovely walks to go on. The village and surrounding villages are so quaint and easy to get to with a car. Sarah was most welcoming and her breakfast healthy. The extremely comfortable bed is just what you need at the end of a long days walk. I would advise anyone to stay there!
Sarah's home is a hub of peace and tranquility surrounded by some of the loveliest scenery in England. You wake up to the sounds of sheep and chickens, it's wonderful. Sarah is a really lovely person, she is so kind and gentle and great to talk to, in short, the perfect host.
Thanks Sarah for everything!!
Great stay - couldn't have been more welcoming. Lovely cottage with amazing views (including lambs and chickens just outside the window). Village is lovely - great pub and some beautiful walks along the river. A fantastic stay
