Kristen and her family were extremely accommodating, sweet and a pleasure to work with. Her home is lovely, and set in a idyllic lakeside location, nearby Hunter Mountain and the Catskills. Her home is a unique, cozy and an aesthetically pleasing cabin. Her talented husband's artwork adorns the walls, the fireplace heats the entire home (kept us more than warm in 10 degree weather), and they keep it stocked with board games, movies and a FABULOUS music selection. It was the perfect weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. My only suggestion for other guests who visit during the winter months is to make sure your car has 4WD, as the property is located at the top of steep mountain road. Although, Kristen graciously offered to help get us up the hill if we ran into any trouble:) Thanks again - can't wait to visit in the Summer!
We had a fantastic time at the cabin. Extremely warm, stunning location with amazing access to the lake. Altogether a perfect weekend escape and one I will be recommending to others. Thank you!
Overall, we had a pretty good stay. We were greeted warmly and the accommodations were lovely. It truly was a cozy getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property itself had plenty to offer to enjoy nature. My only complaint would have to be the 2 goats situated on the property. They really did become a nuisance and can be rambunctious at times. Our host was apologetic and I can only hope that the situation would be rectified for future stays. Otherwise, it was a lovely place and have only kind words for our hosts.
This is the first time anything like this ever happened. Normally the goats travel with us wherever we go, so when we rent the house they are usually with us. This time however, our guests were only staying for one night so we decided to keep the goats in their goat house enclosure that is situated across the road from the house, not thinking in a million years that they could escape, as we worked SO SO hard to make it a sturdy and reliable home for them. Somehow, they escaped and we were not on the premises to remedy the situation in time. I feel awful about this mishap and it will certainly not happen again!
Kirsten's lake house is a wonderful gateway from the city. It provides everything you would need. Kirsten and Sasha are both very sweet and helpful. Looking forward to coming back!
We had a wonderful stay! The house is located on a beautiful little lake and the property has everything you'd need and more. My daughters loved the trampoline and playground. It was wonderful for them to be able to take care of the bunny. And Kirsten was kind enough to let us take care of the goats, who provided us with lots of laughs. My daughters enjoyed playing the musical instruments in the house. Smores on the campfire were the evening highlight for them. After the kids went to bed, we'd start a fire in the wood burning stove and watch a movie from Kirsten and Sasha's huge collection. Star gazing was amazing as well. The area is full of bucolic scenery and wonderful little farms. I honestly couldn't have asked for more from our 4 day escape from the city. Sasha and Kirsten were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and their 3 kids were super sweet. We'll certainly be back!
I had a wonderful time in Kirsten's cozy cabin in the Catskills! The lake is beautiful, especially glowing with autumn colors, and the house lives up to its description. Kirsten and her family are as sweet as they come.
We had an absolute blast at Kirstin's lovely cabin home, the lake is absolutely gorgeous and we pretty much had it to ourselves. We received the warmest welcome I think I've ever had from our lovely host. The house is cozy and lovely, 5 of us fit in very comfortably. It's super convenient, close to grocery store etc. but very secluded. The grounds are green and delicious. We will be back! x
Wonderful stay - fun, relaxing, and beautiful. Great for kids and fully equipped. Lovely hosts and home decorated with original art pieces. Lots of fun things to do on the land and in the clear lake. Perfect for a short or long stay.
This house is incredible. We all had such a great time. The lake is super kids friendly and the adults could kick back and reflex, so it was truly a vocation.
We had campfires every night and loved the trampoline.
The house itself was very comfortable for everybody in our group,we were two families.
Kirstin & Sasha were super accommodating and great hosts, thank you!
We can't wait to come back to this picture perfect place, truly magical.
Very pretty place!
My daughters really liked it and Kirsten was very sweet.
