Bright cozy family and dog friendly oceanfront home in the heart of Nedonna Beach. Enjoy unobstructed expansive views while cooking and eating dinner, reading a book by the fire, or playing games in the loft. Just steps from a quiet beach, this is the perfect spot for a family vacation, fun trip with friends, romantic getaway, or a work/teach from home alternative. This 2 bed, 2.5 bath home plus loft can comfortably sleep 7 people and has recently been updated with new paint and new floors.
The space
Our home is located right off the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway, near Manhattan Beach State Park. You can step off the deck and walk right onto the beach or watch whales and fishing boats from inside the living room. Its centrally located between Rockaway Beach (2 miles) to the South and Wheeler/Nehalem/Manzanita (10 miles) to the North where you can visit the cafes and tourist shops.
The main entrance to the house is located on the ground floor adjacent to the three-car garage. Upon entering the house, you can utilize the hall tree and bench to store your shoes and coats. Guests can also find a full bathroom with walk-in shower and a washer and dryer on this level. You can hang out and play a game of ping pong on the new table or use the fully equipped home office to catch up on work or teach your children. The office is equipped with two sit/stand desks and two 27” monitors. It has separately controlled heating and has a cozy seating area with pull-out couch.
Head upstairs to the main floor and become instantly relaxed as you enter the great room where you can see the ocean waves. The living room has plenty of comfy seating options to allow for reading by the wood burning fireplace, watching your favorite show on the flatscreen smart TV (you will need your own streaming account), or listening to music on the Bluetooth speakers.
Continue into the fully equipped open-concept kitchen and prep a meal while watching the waves roll in. The kitchen includes an oven, large fridge, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven and plenty of other cooking tools and gadgets. For your convenience, you will also find a variety of small appliances including an Instantpot, electric skillet, rice cooker, electric hand mixer, as well as spices and oil. Feel free to use the blender for your morning smoothies or an afternoon mixed drink.
Enjoy your home cooked meal in the dining room while watching the sunset.
The dining table can accommodate 8 people plus your little one in the provided highchair. Don’t worry about packing children’s plates, cups or utensils; we have those for you as well! Start your day at the coffee & tea bar – chose to make a single cup using the Keurig (pods provided) or make a larger pot of coffee using the French press or coffee pot (gold cone and coffee grinder provided, but please bring your own beans). Use the electric kettle to steep a perfect cup of tea (teabags provided) to enjoy in the rocking chairs overlooking the beach.
Continue down the hall to find two bedrooms each with a queen bed and a lounge chair that converts into a single bed. The master bedroom is attached to a full bathroom with a walk-in shower and double sinks. For your convenience, a half bathroom is also located in the hall. Additional sleeping options include a twin inflatable mattress, two toddler cots, and a pack-n-play.
Next, check out the views from the loft. You can see even more of the ocean or look east and see the Coast Range. Use the cozy loft to play a variety of games, put together a puzzle, read a book, or watch a movie using the VCR/DVD player connected to the smart TV (bring your own DVD or VHS). There is plenty of extra space up here – use the queen futon or the two convertible lounge chairs (convert into single beds).
Ready to play outside?! Pull up a lounge chair on the large deck and watch the sunrise. Grill dinner on the portable gas grill or play corn hole in the sand while enjoying the sunset over the ocean. Our deck boxes hold everything you need to enjoy the backyard and beach – chairs, beach/sand toys, boogie boards, and skim board. If you want a break from the sand, head for walk around the neighborhood and look at all the unique beach houses; including the Pirate House on Geneva Ave! Feel free to use the baby stroller for your younger children.

The entire house is available for you during your stay. You will be able to check-in and access the house through electronic keyless entry 24/7.

Long Term Stays: If you are interested in a long term stay, please reach out and we can discuss modifications to the cancellation policy to accommodate your trip.
Accessibility: Please note that the main living space is on the second floor. Guests will need to climb stairs from the garage level to enter the main floor.
Bathtub: Please note that the house does not have a bathtub in either of the full bathrooms. We hope to remodel in the future to add this feature.
We hope you'll treat our home with the utmost respect, as this home has been a labor of love for our family over the past few months. We are excited to share it with you and your family and friends. We are in the process of making updates throughout the house. Next up will be replacing the sliding glass door and updating the kitchen.
