Please feel free to come and go as you please.
Jennifer's place is a true delight. Jesmond is a great part of Newcastle – quiet, great cafes and a pleasant walk from the CBD. The property itself is immaculate and Jennifer went out of her way to make me feel welcome, including dripping me off at the Metro for my journey home. Highly recommend Jennifer and her home to anyone looking to spend time in Newcastle.
Jennifer was really welcoming and came to pick me up from Jesmond metro. I arrived relatively late but this wasn't a problem. The neighbourhood was ideal - really handy for Jesmond and the town too. Jennifer was also really good about communicating before I arrived and it was all very easy. The room was very comfortable and warm - a great stay and good to have local knowledge as I was up looking for a flat to rent.
It was such a pleasure to meet and stay with Jennifer at her lovely home. She couldn't have been more helpful, meeting me at the nearby metro, making sure I had everything I needed like hairdryers and then providing me with a delicious breakfast of croissants and even a homemade beetroot and chocolate brownie for the journey back!
The bedroom (single on the ground floor) was very comfortable - I slept well on the good bed and had plenty of places to put stuff, plugs etc.
The bathroom was spotlessly clean and again there was space to leave my toiletries bag.
The location was ideal for me as I was going to a birthday party in Jesmond. The area seemed very safe, even late at night.
I would definitely recommend this airbnb and would come back again myself.
Jennifer is a charming, helpful and friendly host. Her home is in a quiet part of town - the room is cosy and the single bed warm and comfortable. I could not have asked for anything more.
Jennifer picked me up from the metro station and it felt as if we had known each other for a long time by the informal way of talking. I felt at home right away, chatting over a cup of tea.
The house is situated in a quiet area and I usually took the bus into the centre of Newcastle. I found walking a bit too far.
We had some nice conversations and I appreciated Jennifer's correction of some English vocabulary because I had come to England to improve my English.
I enjoyed my stay and the bed was very comfortable.
I was warmly welcolmed by Jennifer (and her Spaniel Sourja). She had an array of tourist information available as well as information on local golf courses and on the location for my course that I was attending that I asked for. The neighbourhood is largely populated by local University Students and I found it friendly and safe. Access to local transport was close - Bus outside the door to the house plus the Metro 10 minutes away. I would definitely go back and stay with Jennifer.
Thoroughly recommended: a one night only stay that I would very happily have extended had I had the time, Jennifer is charming, funny, warm and very helpful and hospitable; I slept wonderfully on a new single bed, house and neighbourhood quiet and civilized... made friends too with the lovely old dog, failed to spot the rabbit in its hutch or the cat who kept upstairs. Choice of breakfast enjoyed chatting to Jennifer and another guests, equally happy with the quality and friendliness of her stay. A gem.
