The Space

**Please see Grand Warm Springs Home for complete photos, guidebook, etc for this house. There are multiple bedrooms available. Thank you. **

We are a family of three living in this very large house. We have several bedrooms available to travelers & folks visiting our fair city. We operate short term bedroom rentals in the vein of a true B&B; expect to share common areas with our family, friends, and perhaps another traveler or two. Longer term renters become housemates; laundering their linens as needed and supplying their own groceries. Elisabeth & I both come from families of six; open and direct communication is a requirement in big families and in shared living spaces. IF there is something you require let us know and we will do what we can to provide it. All guests are treated generously & with respect. We ask the same in return.

We are gracious hosts and enjoy sharing our favorite restaurants and local adventures with new friends. You'll find local chocolates on your pillow when you arrive, as well as maps and a copy of the most recent Boise Weekly. Daily & weekly rooms come with serve yourself breakfast of fruit, homemade muffins, congee, muesli, grits, and eggs. We are tea drinkers, but we do own a french press, and the Roosevelt Market is just two blocks away and ready to serve coffee beginning at 7am.

This Grand San Francisco style home is perfectly located in the Warm Springs neighborhood. Until recently the home of Bethine Church, the venerable widow of renowned Idaho Statesman Frank Church. Many national and international dignitaries have enjoyed evenings in this gracious living room and taken meals in the formal dining room. Mrs. Church says that the house has a wonderful spirit and that everyone who has ever entered it has had a great deal of fun there.

A brief walk from the State Capital, downtown restaurants & bars, the Boise River Greenbelt, and trail access at Military Reserve Park. With all of these wonderful destinations less than a mile from home, this is a location that cannot be beat in Boise.

  • Our stay with James and Elisabeth was just perfect. We felt like part of the family for a day, and what a lovely family. They are generous, sweet, and very easy-going. Everything was clean and cared for, and we even got fabulous locally made chocolates on our pillows! Also a great location - close to hiking trails and downtown. Perfect!

  • We were greeted with a warm welcome when we arrived and was quickly made to feel at home.

A super comfy bed and a soak in the hot tub helped to rest our weary bones - it was just a shame we only stayed for one night!

  • Although on very short notice, James welcomed us into his home (and family) wholeheartedly. The home is lovely, hottub hot (!) and the food caters to even my weird diet; highly recommended!!!

  • We came in late and left early, which was a bummer since this is such a gorgeous house! James is a gracious host and was fantastic about our late arrival; everything was laid out for us when we got there. We love his dog (a very friendly yellow lab) and look forward to staying with them again so we can share stories and explore the house (and hot tub!)

  • James and Elizabeth were very friendly and warm hosts! They welcomed my mom and I into their home with open arms and their breakfast recommendation was spot on. Definitely a great place to stay in Boise!

  • This airbnb property is great! I arrived at this Boise home and was immediately welcomed. The house is lovely, just as advertised. It is sunny with multiple skylights, spotless and tastefully decorated. The days I was there were cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon, so I sat outside during the late afternoon and early evening on the large, private patio. With a book and the family's golden lab at my feet, the only street sound I could hear was the ice cream truck making its rounds. This grand house is in the Historic Warm Springs neighborhood so the location is the best in Boise. The house is on intersecting tree-covered boulevards. The area is less than a mile from downtown, steps away from the foothills, close to coffee shops and restaurants and shopping.

We enjoy meeting new people and introducing them to Boise. We have plenty of experience in doing that; in a typical month we have visitors for 15+ days. We will happily provide tips for dining, entertainment, or outdoor adventure. We also completely respect the need for privacy and solitude; there is ample space to check out with a book or your thoughts. We are relatively new to Boise--6 years here--and still see many of the unique treasures with the eye of a tourist. We enjoy large family meals at home, and get out to restaurants and performances weekly. Kayaking, biking, hiking, and coffee shop lounging are all in a days work for us.
