  • We had a great time in Rome staying at this apartment. The streets may look scruffy on (website hidden) street view but at night the shutters open up and some cool bars and eateries can be found (especially pizza formula 1 which is just down the road). You are able to get the free bus into Rome centre just at the bottom of the road if you figure out the routes. Overall good stay, thanks Amen

  • This is a cute little apartment in a really trendy part of Rome! We were greeted by Amen outside the supermarket next to the Terravision bus stop at Termini and she kindly drove us the short distance to the flat, pointing out some places to eat on the way. Once in the apartment we had everything explained to us and she even gave us a mobile phone to use in case of any emergencies! From the apartment you can walk to the Manzoni metro A stop in about 15 minutes or the Termini metro A stop in about 25. We preferred the slightly longer walk as it seemed a bit less dingy and Termini connects to both metro A and B so gives you more options. Saying that, its quite easy to walk to most of the sites without public transport! One thing we did read in other reviews was the noise at night and unfortunately this was quite loud on all three nights of our stay (Thurs, Fri & Sat). The flat sits in the middle of a street that comes alive at night with various bars and clubs, going on in to the small hours of the morning. Perhaps we were unfortunate that the good weather meant more people were outside, I'm not sure. I don't think the problem was helped by the double glazed window missing one side of the glazing. On the flip side to that though, if you want to embrace the night and plan on checking out Rome's cooler nightlife side then this is the place for it. There are some fantastic bars and restaurants that have a very east London feel to them! We would definitely stay in San Lorenzo again, but simply due to the noise at night, I'm not sure that we would necessarily chose this particular flat. Amen did tell us she has 2 other flats in the area so we could well be looking these up for future Rome trips :)

  • We meet Amen in front of a supermarket at Termini. She drove us to this very special and cute apartment. Its located in San Lorenzo - a nice area with a lots of bars and restaurants and full of students (the area, not the apartment). There is really everything in the apartment you need and it was very clean and comfortable! We got a phone from Amen and talked to her husband one day before leaving. He was so kind and allowed us, to let our bags in the apartment and brought them on night to Termini, before we went home. We can highly recommend this place!

  • Everything was great in Amen's apartment :)
Her husband came to pick us at the station even if we arrived at midnight and the location of the apartment was perfect to visit Rome during a week end.

  • We had a very good time staying in Amen's apartment. It's small but very clean, cozy, in a fun neighborhood and with good access to public transportation. Too bad it doesn't have wifi, but there are plenty of restaurants and cafes with free wifi nearby. Since we visited in January during heavy rains, it was a little chilly and slightly humid in the apartment, especially in the bathroom. One day we had problems getting hot water, but Amen was very helpful and fixed it within one day so that the rest of our stay was great. She was a great host who is always available, responsible and reliable. The ideal place for low-budget travelers who want to be close to everything.

  • This place is comfortable, cheap and cheerful, with a homey vibe. We had some trouble finding the sweet spot between "scalding" and "freezing" in the shower, but other than that, no complaints about the apartment. Check-in and communication were smooth. We really loved the neighborhood, which is lively, residential but accessible to the main sites (by transit or on foot if you don't mind walking), full of gorgeous street art, and home to great restaurants where we consistently ate well but spent little. All in all, a good experience.

  • We had such a nice time in Amen's apartment! The place is small and cosy, near to Termini station and a lot of great restaurants and bars. It is a perfect apartment to stay in Rome for a few days.
Marco picked us up in the station and drove us to the apartment, explained how everything works and all the interesting nearby places, he is a great host. Thanks!

  • I definitely recommend staying here. It's a fantastic little place. Amen came and picked us up from the station. The apartment was located in a great neighborhood, close to all major attractions and the Termini station with plenty of cheap pizzerias, cafes and restaurants close by.
