We enjoy sharing the history of Bisbee and what to see in Bisbee and the surrounding area. Children and pets welcome. Guest kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and coffee machine. Parking is in front of home.

The space
Built in 1906 for the secretary/treasurer of the Calumet & Arizona Mining company the home was designed by Southwestern architect Trost. It is a Spanish mission style. After the secretary/treasurer left the mining company converted it to their guest house.
Guests are welcome to use the TV in the music room. An overstrung baby grand that was my Mother's is in this room. Guests are welcome to play the piano. There are beautiful patios outside on the North, South and East sides of the house. My koi/gold fish pond has two waterfalls and there is a babbling brook. And yes, it does babble. Guest are welcome to wonder and use our tables and chairs and grill. Be sure to check the talavera restroom under the stairs of the carriage house. It says El bano on the door. In the house there is an upstairs kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and coffee machine for guest use. There are dishes for guest use in the cabinets. In the fifteen years it took to redo the home we made many improvements, new windows, re stucco, rewiring, new wall paper, pressed aluminum ceilings, new flooring and refinished of oak flooring, new kitchen with my fabulous stove. The stove has the highest BTUs/burner so that I can cook really fast. In short we did everything. When we redid the home we added central heat, high efficiency evaporative cooling and air conditioning. We are set for any temperature changes. Yes, there is more that we did so please come and enjoy it.
Check in is after 1 PM unless you contact us about a need for an earlier check in.

Neighborhood highlights

The Warren Section of Bisbee is a city beautiful inspired by Warren Henry Manning. In May 1905 the C & A Mining Company started planning for the new town, to be called Warren, after George
Warren (not Warren Henry Manning). George Warren was one of the original claim holders of the fabulous Bisbee
copper mine in 1877, namesake of the Warren Mining District, and a most colorful, legendary character of the
period. George Warren is the miner on the state symbol. George lost his share in the Queen Mine in bet that he could beat a horse in a race.
In January 1906 the Warren Company (Calumet & Arizona Mining Company) hired Warren Henry Manning to prepare a plan for the Warren townsite.
From the beginning, Warren was to be a City Beautiful (the only such town in Arizona). The idea was to
combine comprehensive functional and aesthetic qualities from the City Beautiful concept with the critical
characteristics of a mining company town: affordable housing, sanitary conditions, a good water supply, and
recreational and educational opportunities. The Company helped to build house, schools, banks, a mercantile store and churches. To keep the area a place where families would want to live no open alcohol was sold in Warren. It still is on the books prohibiting it.
