From our client Jessica Smith.
There is simply no other way to say it because La Palapa seriously gave me the best vacation of my life. We all cannot thank enough Cristina (owner) for everything she did to make our trip so perfect. Costa Rica was a place I had always wanted to go and the experience exceeded my expectations. Everyone we met was extraordinarily friendly, the food was delicious every place we ate, the scenery even more beautiful than I imagined and the adventures could not have been more exiting or fun.I spent 8 days at La Palapa with 12 of my closest friends and there were days where the biggest decision we had to make was whether we should be swimming in the ocean or drinking champagne in the pool. The next days we went to, Zipline, Rafting, and Rainforest Tour through the jungle and over the mountains near the Savegre River with a fantastic guide that explained to all of us every detail of the tour every name of each animal we came across, a real National Geographic adventure that we can only see on the movies. We all went horseback riding on the Matapalo Beach where the guide brought the horses at the site and then let us run those beautiful creatures through the waves. It was the most glorious horseback riding experience of my life.Every morning we were greeted in the rancho with a scrumptious made to order breakfast. I haven't been so spoiled since I lived at home with my parents. The villas made our stay so comfortable. They were extremely clean and cozy with plenty of space for us all to stretch out, get some privacy when we needed and enjoy the common areas together. Every staff member who worked on site was kind, respectful and super friendly. I could go on about this place forever but the bottom line is I could not recommend staying here more. It's a beautiful part of the world and La Palapa Resort in Portalon is the ideal place to experience everything Costa Rica has to offer. I know I will be back soon and cannot wait until that day comes. On our last night around the resort swimming pool he had a dance party possible because we occupied the all resort and the owner allowed us to have a fantastic party (we guaranteed not to make noise that would disturb the rainforest wildlife) with lots and lots of “wine sangria” that made us feel in the end of the world, that was (website hidden) Palapa is for us and many people we meet that paid a fortune in other resorts, the best value for money that one can spent in a holiday in Costa Rica – Manuel Antonio National Park area. Take my advise that you will never regret.
Really good experience. The manager was really nice and knowledgeable. Only little drawback is that it is a bit far from Quepos/Manuel Antonio and Dominical. That said, it is in a nature paradise and just a bit off the main road. Plus the size and quality of the bungalow is really good.
