Centrally located in the elegant, quiet and safe area of Monteverde Vecchio, the three rooms apartment is a few minutes walking from the typical quarter of Trastevere and from the "Gianicolo" area, where you can enjoy the most beautiful view of Rome. The strategical position of our quarter Monteverde Vecchio is one of those reason why it is so requested: one can find here green spaces, history, shops, restaurants and all the facilities, while living in a not-touristic context. Short pleasant walks downhill take you to the old city center: Largo Argentina, Piazza Venezia, S. Peter and the Vatican. Well connected with the rest of the city - bus stops in 1 up to 5 minutes walking - the apartment it is provided with internet wireless, tv, washing machine, dishwasher, a piano and... very nice neighbours! If you travel with kids, one room is provided of books and toys, and playgrounds are just nearby in the historical parks of Villa Sciarra and Villa Pamphilj. Monteverde Vecchio's yards are full of gardens: leave the windows opened in springtime or summer and you'll enjoy the sweet smell of wisteria and lemon flowers.
From September to May the apartment is available for maximum 1 week. During summer there are no availability limits.
We had a wonderful stay in Paolina's apartment - perfect for our family of two adults and two children 10 yrs and 4 yrs. Neat, compact and extremely quiet, we found this to be a wonderful retreat after a day of sightseeing in Rome. The nearby village is only a four minute walk away, with access to great coffees and stores. The 75 bus leaves from literally around the corner and means you can travel into the Colusseum, Forum etc with great ease - buy the ticket for the bus at the little ticket shop around the corner. Our children loved the toy box, and we appreciated Poalina's help in getting to the Rome Children's Hospital for a minor visit- the hospital is only 10 mins away and the staff spoke great English. Would highly recommend.
Abbiamo passato una settimana fantastica in una città stupenda, complice un tempo mite ed un'host molto attenta e disponibile alle esigenze dei suoi ospiti (grandi e piccini, siamo una famiglia con bimbi).
We had a great stay at Paolinas. The apartment was very nice and homely with a lot of details and a personal touch. It was our first time using airbnb and it lived up to all our expectations - and more!
It was great not to stay in the crowded old center with all the other tourists but still be able to reach that in a short time.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to experience Rome and at the same time have a nice and homely place to retreat to at the end of the day.

Paolina is the perfect host. Very kind and helpfull. Her flat is very nice, luminous and cosy. The house is very well situated on a calm neighborhood. She also gave us so many advices to find good places to eat. If I turn back to Roma, I want to stay there again!
Paolina's place was really charming - and more: It had lots of daylight, nice wooden floors, and an airy feel with french balconies.
The apartment was impecable upon arrival - clean and welcoming, and our host offered really good advice about the neighbourhood and Rome. We really felt at home, and Paolina was easy to contact if we had any questions.
And the ice cream at gelateria la Gourmandise around the corner was lovely. Try the lavender flavour.
Paolina is a kind and thoughtful host with a beautiful home in a gorgeous, quiet area only a short distance from the city. I can't help thinking that flats and hosts like these were why airbnb was invented! Paolina also helped us by recommending the best pizza, aperitivos, bakeries and gelati in her area. We sampled them all and they were wonderful!
Paolina's apartment is exactly as described: charming and in the heart of a beautiful, quiet neighborhood in Rome. The apartment itself was spotless and yet also immediately homey. Paolina was a wonderful, helpful host who readily answered our questions and even looked up information on places/events we were interested in. The wireless connection was consistent; I had no problem using it with my iPad. The apartment would be ideal for visitors who not only wish to explore major sites in Rome, but who also have interest in exploring other areas like Trastevere and Testaccio. The gracious neighborhood of Monteverde Vecchio, itself, also merits one's attention: 2 great bakeries, 2 delicious gelaterias, high quality neighborhood restaurants (we had one of our best meals in Rome at Il Cortile), an enoteca, a farmers market, and a supermarket (and more!)-- almost all literally around the corner from the apartment! Bus and trains are conveniently located near the apartment, although schedules and routes require some figuring out (it's Italy: things like this often take time and patience). ATAC (Roman public transportation authority) has a route finder on its web page that I found helpful. The apartment is definitely walking distance to Trastevere and, therefore, also accessible by foot to areas adjacent, like the historical center, if you are moderately energetic. This location allows a visitor to savor the many different dimensions to life in Rome; if you're in a rush, you might opt for a more immediately centrally located accommodation.
Overall, I had a great stay in Paolina's apartment and would definitely stay there again on my next visit to Rome!
