Málaga, Andalucía, Spain
We invite you to search the internet for the Perchel neighborhood of Malaga. We'd probably do a terrible job. But we are going to tell you some other very interesting things.
The supermarket, from any window you look out except the kitchen one, you will see it.
You may need something and it's a holiday or the supermarket in front of the apartment is closed, no problem. On Calle Cuarteles 37, just five minutes away, you have a supermarket that is open every day from 8 am to 11 pm.
Pharmacies, the closest one is on the back street, just behind the building.
Bakery, apart from the one in the supermarket, if you go around the block to the right you will find it on the way to the pharmacy.
Grocery market, leaving the portal on the left, all straight and at the end of the street you will find the Mercado del Carmen.
Shopping malls, in case something unforeseen occurs, you have three shopping malls within a 400m radius.
Vialia, in the same RENFE María Zambrano station.
Larios Mall.
El Corte Inglés.
Breakfasts, the typical one is the 'pitufo', a sandwich that is served with toasted bread, you can choose between several fillings.
Coffee is another curiosity, it would be interesting if you took a look at it on the internet.
But if there is a place worth knowing for its churros, it is the Los Valles coffee bar, located on Calle Cuarteles, right wax towards the María Zambrano station.
At aperitif time, the offer is so varied that it is better for you to discover each bar with its respective tapas. In some, when ordering the drink, they give you a tapa included with the drink.
We recommend you walk around this wonderful city, especially if you're there at lunchtime in El Perchel. Here are some recommendations.
Bar restaurant Mercado del Carmen, is located inside the market itself, has a large outdoor terrace. Fried and grilled fish is the most common, it is a place very popular with the people of Malaga. It's a good idea to book, otherwise we recommend going before 2:00 PM.
Casa Saberia, Italian Home Cooking, highly recommended, is located on C/ Ancha del Carmen, it wouldn't hurt to book, they serve takeaway food.
Candamil Restaurant, Galician food house, very appetizing to delve into that gastronomy. It is located at the beginning of Cuarteles Street, booking is almost essential.
Tasca Laska. One minute from the apartment, at the beginning of Avenida de la Aurora. Everything is exquisite.
Apart from these places, without leaving the Perchel you can find any type of national and international cuisine.
But Malaga is not just Perchel. If you head towards the Guadalmedina River and cross it over the La Misericordia bridge, you will enter Soho. A neighborhood of narrow streets, many pedestrians and with an offer of alternative commerce and interesting gastronomic variety. Some guidance in this regard.
Without leaving Casa de Campos street we suggest:
Casa de Botes, fish from the coast, traditional Malaga and Mediterranean food. Hasta los Andares, for lovers of good preserves, cold meats and cheese. Mamuchi, an international food restaurant with its own personality.
From Soho, you can head towards the main avenue, the park or the palm grove of surprises, pier 1 .... But we invite you to cross the main avenue to enter the historic center of the city. A maze of streets, squares, alleys, and corners will envelop you in the melting pot of cultures that populated and enjoyed this wonderful city. The Atarazanas Market, Alcazabilla Street, the Roman theater, the citadel, and a long etc. will take up most of your time.
Let's finish with three notes.
Eat some sardine skewers on the sand of Misericordia beach at the Pedro Gutiérrez beach bar. When booking, ask for a table on the terrace next to the sea or on the sand.
Enjoy the views of Malaga Bay from the viewpoint terrace of the Malaga Palacio hotel. Third suggestion: enjoy spectacular cuisine at the Balnearios del Carmen from its beachfront terrace.
For our part, we only wish you a pleasant stay in the city that enamors😅
