The Space

This newly renovated plant-filled studio apartment is located in Victoria Street, the main street of fashionable inner-city Darlinghurst, with it's slightly bohemian ambience. It is self-contained and in easy walking distance to the CBD and just a step away from all the wonderful Darlo restaurants, cafes and bars. The nightlife of Kings Cross is nearby and yet the location has a very different quality, the apartment is wonderfully quiet and private and, because it is a corner apartment, is also airy and light-filled.

"Small but perfectly formed" as they say - this apartment gives the impression of light and space with a warm, cosy feel and is sunny with light entering from 2 sides yet it is private and comfortable. There is a brand new kitchen with double burner gas stove if you wish to cook but if not restaurants, cafes and bistros are literally just a minute away. Harbourside parks are just 5 minutes walk away.

Wireless internet is also available at the Tropicana Cafe just a stones throw away. The Art Gallery of NSW, Opera House, Sydney Harbour and China Town are all within easy walking distance. It is 5 minutes walk from Kings Cross station and 15 minutes from the Domain and Botanical gardens. It is two train stations from Bondi and the scenic buses and airport buses leave from nearby. Harbourside parks are just 5 minutes walk away.

The (phone number hidden), and 326 buses also run to Circular Quay, via Elizabeth Street and William Street.

Timed street parking is available but a car is unnecessary in this location but if you need one for a day trip out of Sydney there is a large rental company 5 minutes walk away and GoGet cars for hire by the hour on the streets nearby. In the other direction it is a short drive or bus ride to the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and Sydney’s iconic harbour or surf beaches.

There is a brand new luxurious double bed, with an extra thick mattress. There are 2 comfortable feather-filled armchairs and also a footstool to put your feet up. There is a 32" flat screen Panasonic TV with separate speakers, and a Sony DVD player which can be used as a CD player as well. You can watch TV from either the armchairs or in bed. There is a hairdryer and an iron in the cupboard and small ironing board under the bed.

There is one mini vacuum in the cupboard and another small one in the chest between the armchairs.

There is a coin-operated laundry in the building and 2 laundromats nearby. The bathroom has a new rail shower and full sized bath with a plentiful supply of hot water. For an extra charge the apartment can be cleaned and linens changed during your stay.

The apartment now offers two different ways to connect to the internet, each one of them has a different name and password.
Broadband connection (with blue cable):
Username: victoriast14
Password: duMe3Mai
Network name: OPTUSDNEBAF36
Password: corgilaxeralertlured93804

  • We had a great stay in Lindy's apartment last weekend. We travel to Sydney frequently and you could not a better location than this! There is heaps to explore within walking distance and buses and trains are within easy reach. The apartment is small but had everything we needed during our 4 night stay. Lindy was really easy to connect with. I would happily recommend this place.

  • I loved staying in the Studio. I think Darlinghurst is the best place to stay in Sydney. I use to live here for many years and now came back for 5 weeks. I would love to stay here again. The studio is small but cute and it's very quite in there. Everything you need is really here.. Would recomment this place to everyone. The studio looks like the pictues.

    Response from Lindy:

Hi Mette, thanks for that. There is one in the cupboard and another in the chest between the armchairs but I think I did not put this in the description so will do now.
    Cheers, Lindy
Ps the cleaners mentioned a stain on the basin, do you know what this is?

  • I had the p[easure of stopping in this apartment over new year. Great location, for cafes and the kings cross station, for trains into the city. Or you can walk to the city in about 20 minutes. Great valve for money in what is becoming a very expensive city, would recommend this apartment.

  • Studio very small but well positioned for seeing the beautiful city of Sydney. Please note there are 44 stairs to the studio! There is no shower curtain and only a small mirror in the bathroom. Can't use hair dryer near a mirror. That said, it is worth the money.

  • Lindy's apartment was perfect for my nine day stay in Sydney. From the well equipped kitchen to the super comfortable bed this place made me feel right at home with a nice retreat for time away from exploring the city. I would certainly stay here again on my next visit to Sydney.

  • This studio is in a great location, convenient to the metro and easy walking to any type of city amenity. Wide choice of restaurants, nightlife and the street scene st your doorstep. Short walk to parks along the harbor and to other types of neighborhoods. Did not cook but seemed to have adequate equipment if you are so inclined. We had a great time in Sydney and if we have the opportunity to return we hope this place will be available for another stay.

I have my own business
I am 59 and female and own a business in Sydney Australia importing baskets from Morocco. I have been to Morocco and Marrakech twice before and am coming to Marrakech to visit a potential supplier and also to bring my friend Reima who is from London and has not been to Morocco before. I've not seen much of Marrakech so we may like to do a bus tour or similar to look around. Hope to be able to meet you.
