We set up an employee of our company here. He was new to the city and felt that the place was very nice! He said he would be happy to stay here again.
Stayed 3-nights at the end of a trip through northern California. After spending a number of days in the wilderness of Big Sur and Yosemite, it was a bit of a shock to be greeted by many street-dwelling homeless people. Some yelling, others staring. Living in the city of Chicago I've been used to the urban environment for years, but this part of SF really takes it to the next level. So be warned, although if you are in SF to sight-see you really won't have much reason to stay in that part of Union Square during the day. We wound up thoroughly enjoying our visit by seeing Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park, Bicycling over the Golden Gate Bridge...into Sausalito...then a ferry back to the wharf, going to the top of Twin Peaks, Coit Tower, down Lombard, and more! It was an incredible vacation. The room we stayed in, 1015, was a small but very manageable room offering modern furnishings and clean lines. It was all we needed and we were very happy sleeping there. Please be prepared that their towel sets may not be matching, soap and accessories are not provided, and internet "in room" is an added expense from a third-party. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby for free though. All-in-all we were very happy with the choice and it made us feel a bit like we already lived there since we were amongst those living in their apartments on other floors. Parking is an issue, as your main choice is nearby shady garages, most of which charge at least $25-30/night to park.

We are a historical landmark building conveniently located near downtown San Francisco. This Spanish Colonial Revival inspired style is designed by the famous architect, H.C. Baumann in 1928. The design elements includes smooth stucco walls, red tile roofs, elaborate molded ornament around doors and windows, a polychrome tile at entries, and wrought iron grilles and balconies.
