Interaction with Guests
Such wonderful guests we are blessed to have stay here with us it is my goal to interact as much (or as little) as is necessary, fun, informative and mutually beneficial. No more and no less.
Here is a recent quote from one of our guests
"This is probably the coolest house in the coolest neighborhood on the big island. You'll be in Seaview, a block from the lavarock shore. Seaview is filled with friendly island hippies who say hi when they pass you, and everyone knows the Triangle House. Some people know it as the "Cheese House," because it looks like a wedge of swiss cheese lying on its side, with each window a porthole. This is my favorite neighborhood in the 4 that I've stayed at on the big island (kailua-kona/captain cook, hilo, volcano/mt view, na'alehu/ocean view). You're living in a gorgeous jungle, with great ocean access, a plethora of interesting artists and hippies, and the best neighborhood spirit I've seen. Every wednesday, the whole community of the Puna district ends up at a fair on the edge of civilization where the 1970 lava flow literally rolled over the city of Kalapana, called "Uncle Roberts at the End of the Road." I don't know a better way to say hello to a new community than that. Randall is a great host. He's a craftsman who cares a lot about the building, and is trying to improve its design for the people who stay in it. He's super easy to work with. He's been doing constant work on the property. It was designed by an architect who had a dream about "round holes and square pegs" and designed a property with a Triangle house, a Rectangle house, a Circle water catchman, and two Square sheds. There's also a real-life castle next-door. It's like living in a dream."

This was our first Airbnb experience, and it will set the bar really high ! The house is fantastic, you really have the feeling that it is inhabited, it has a soul. The environment is fantastic, the sea, the lava, you can hear the waves from the house...
Randall is in my opinion a perfect host : present when you need him, unobtrusive when you don't. I would have loved to be able to exchange more with him, he seems to be a courteous and very interesting person. My english is alas not good enough.
En français : une maison fabuleuse et vivante dans un environnement magnifique. Un hôte parfait, discret et courtois, qui semble s'intéresser à pas mal de choses, ouvert sur le monde. Nous avons passé 3 super nuits dans cette maison.
Randall was a great host! He made us feel very comfortable and the listing was accurate to its description. The home is cozy and clean with alot of room for our family of 5. Our children enjoyed the loft because they had their own area away from the adults. There is beautiful bathroom with inlaid glass gems. The home also had inlaid stained glass which when the sun shines through creates a lovely glow. The surrounding area is very lush with many different vegetation and beautiful sea cliffs. The BEST snorkling on the island is just a few miles away. The home is easy to find and Randall met us at the door to expail how the appliances worked.
The Triangle house was beautiful and was just about the perfect size for all seven of my volleyball team. Only downside was having one bathroom which seems odd since the place is so big! It's extremely far from town and as beautiful as the trip back and forth from Hilo was I do not feel up to making that trek again anytime soon. Randall was a great host and we appreciated him letting us do our own thing. Scenery and neighborhood were gorgeous and we all enjoyed our stay!
Had a great stay! Very quiet, clean and accommodating. We would highly recommend the triangle house!
Randall is an awesome host. He is really helpful. The house was amazing and he takes really good care of it. The neighbourhood is really friendly and there are lots of community events happening all the time.
It was my first visit to Hawaii and Randall's home was the best to start with. A beautiful house with everything I needed. Close to the sea, seaview. And Randall is a great host, always there for support. Quiet and relaxed. Thank you so much, Randall
Aloha ! We had a great stay in the Puhoa area for a couple of days, which is a locals location and NOT really for touristy tourists. The house is VERY clean and well maintained. We saw a lizard and a few ants inside, which wasn't surprising given the location. Randall made it very easy for us to check in at our leisure and when I sent him a message that one of the TV remotes was dead he magically made new batteries appear on the table on the patio, poof :-). We really enjoyed staying in the house vs a crappy hotel and there is the added bonus of getting to see another side of the island (literally and proverbially). Thanks Randall !
