Thank you, S & A !
We had a great time staying with Andy and Sherry! They were friendly and open for conversation. They even shared freshly baked bread with us. Breakfast was also conveniently prepared and delicious.
Their house is very clean and nicely decorated. They have thoughtfully provided so many small things like earplugs, travel brochures, and more. The space is private, and the house is centrally located. Highly recommend!!
Andy and Sherry are gracious hosts who are considerate and accommodating. We checked in at 8:45 pm or so and they were there to welcome us. They are also very helpful with giving tips to local attractions like where to go in Lancaster to avoid the commercialized and non authentic Amish areas, and which buggy rides to take. I also appreciate the delicious homemade breakfast. I will definite stay with Andy and Sherry again if my travel takes me to that direction again.
Andy and Sherry are fabulous! Communication before our stay was prompt and thorough. We were a group of 4 arriving from different places at different times which they were extremely flexible about. They showed us genuine kindness and their home was a peaceful retreat during our busy weekend. We give them a big thumbs up and hoping to see them again!
I had a delightful time staying with Andy and Sherry. They are hospitable and attentive hosts. Their home is beautiful, the room very comfortable, and I enjoyed a great spring morning sitting on their deck. The eat at your leisure breakfast was healthy and the baked oatmeal delicious. This is a great place to stay.
The moment we walked into Andy and Sherrys home we felt like honoured guests! They were so gracious and hospitable. The accommodation was ideal for our party of four. Breakfast was outstanding and we were even given water and some home cooked oatmeal to take on our journey when we left. Andy was very helpful in suggesting a lovely drive through Amish country which we all enjoyed very much. We highly recommend the House of Peace!
Andy and Sherry were wonderful hosts for our visit. The bedroom was adequate with a comfortable queen size bed, plenty of closet space, comfortable temperature in the room and privacy from the rest of their family.
They attended to our needs each morning and evening by offering us coffee, tea and several food items for breakfast and potential food for supper.
Their gentle spirit and personality allows for a very comfortable and laid back atmosphere while traveling. My husband and I wanted to get away from the typical hotel where you might be in a non-smoking room that used to be a smoking room or find bedding and towels that you would not want to use not put your bare feet on the carpet.
Home of Peace offered us the alternative to hotels that we were looking for and would surely recommend their home to other travelers or consider it again for our travel to Lancaster, PS where our son has attended Franklin & Marshall College for the last four years.
Our only regret is that we did not become familiar with AIRBNB until the last nine months.
