The apartment is located very centrally in the Holborn / Chancery Lane area, in between the West End and the City. All major Central London attractions are within walking distance, and so are public transports (5 minutes walk to Chancery Lane station on the Central Line, 8 minutes walk to Holborn station from where you can take the Piccadilly Line directly to Heathrow). In addition, the apartment is only a few minutes walk from the borders of the Thames and the Northbank promenade. Finally, location is also ideal for professionals, with numerous law firms, investment banks or accounting firms within walking distance.
The apartment is on the 5th floor (without elevator) and is therefore very bright with sunlight from morning to evening (partially also through velux windows on the ceiling). It is 52m2 in size (about 550 square feet), sleeps 4 people, and consists of one large, very quiet bedroom (with large built-in wardrobes - please note that one of them is locked as it contains some of my stuff), one brand new bathroom with bathtub and rain shower, one brand new kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and breakfast bar as well as a living room with sofabed, flat screen TV and electronic piano. Free wifi is also available.
I will also welcome you with a free bottle of your choice - prosecco, white wine or red wine.
Finally, I offer a free one-day gym pass per guest for stays over a week. Weekly gym passes can be arranged for a fee on request.

We had a fantastic time at the flat in chancery lane. It's very quiet and clean. Covent garden and Soho is just around the corner. And after a few drinks the stairs up to the flat are easier to climb. Thank you very much i would recommend to everybody.
My husband and I enjoyed a 5 night stay at Stephan's apartment. Fantastic location close to Holburn and Chancery lane tube stations. But we took the opportunity to walk most everywhere we needed to go in the city.
The apartment was clean, warm and cozy. We didnt mind the stairs at all! Andy who met us at check-in was sweet and even left us with a nice bottle of wine.
The next time we are fortunate enough to visit London again we would definitely consider Stephan's place! Thank you for making our visit a great one!
Stephan was a great host: professional and courteous. Everything about the apartment was great, including the welcoming bottle of prosecco!
My Mum and I really enjoyed staying at Stephan's apartment. It was exactly as in the pictures, super clean, with everything you need and of course extremely well located!
We had a small issue with some lamps on our arrival there but Stephan was very quick to give us some solution. We appreciated the flexibility and availability of Stephan.
All in all, we really enjoyed it and we are already planning our next trip there!
My daughter and I enjoyed Stephan's flat for a winter holiday of theatre in London. The flat was perfectly located for performances at Barbican Center and West End theatres. Tube stops were convenient to everywhere we were going... and walking distances were quite easy as well. The location is quiet and felt safe at all times. The flat itself is very nice, tidy, and quite spacious for two people. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and the bedroom a good size with comfy bed and good storage. We used most of the apartment's amenities -- stove, oven, refrigerator, electric tea kettle, dishwasher, washer/dryer, TV, WIFI, maps. As others mentioned, the stairs up to the rooftop flat are definitely a workout, but entirely doable. We tried to climb the five flights of stairs only once or twice a day and celebrated each time we made it to the top! All in all, Stephan's place was a perfect fit for us and a welcoming home-away-from-home. Thank you Stephan for an excellent AirB&B experience and a wonderful stay in London.
Stephan's apartment was very clean and cozy. It had everything we needed and was perfect situated in a quiet street. Our daughter (16 months old) loved the huge bathtub. Stephan was easy to communicate with and his friend Theis helped us a lot when we stranded on Gatwick on Christmas eve due to land slide on the rail lines - even if waiting for us ruined her Christmas party. We are very greatful and would certainly choose Stephan's apartment on our next visit to London.
Thank you so much Jarle for your kind review, it was a real pleasure to welcome you in London and to be your hosts. We are glad you could make it to London in spite of the issues at Gatwick. Nice to hear also that your daughter liked the bathtub! Please do come back to visit us soon. Thanks again for choosing us for your stay in London, and Happy New Year!
trip was an absolute disaster...the apt is located in a very sketchy neighborhood and from the first day i had no heat or hot water which was terribly inconvenient in the cold London winter...the only saving grace was that Stephan was extremely responsive and took care of the issue but unfortunately i wouldn't stay here again in spite of him being such a great host...
Again thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to write a review, Nakul. We are indeed sorry that you had to spend your first day without hot water due to a boiler issue. This is extremely rare and unusual. Electric heating was, on the other hand, available in the apartment as a back-up. We fortunately managed to get the hot water issue resolved on the second evening of your stay, and whilst this was not early enough, we did provide you with two free gym passes (allowing you to work out in the area and have a hot shower). We also refunded you one night and a half (i.e. 50% of the amount paid for your stay) and offered you a 2 night free credit on your next stay. While this does not replace the inconvenience of a bit over 24 hours without hot water (not including the complimentary early check-in we offered you and the additional time spent at the apartment thanks to that), we believe that this is a more than appropriate compensation. Finally, we regret to hear that you did not enjoy the Holborn and Chancery Lane area, which most of our guests love for being so central, for combining so wonderfully so many well preserved, historic buildings with more modern developments, and for being not as crowded and busy as neighbouring Covent Garden or the City. The street where the apartment is located is a historic conservation area mostly with offices, making it very quiet at night, however the Strand and High Holborn are 2 minutes walk away, and so are major institutions such as the London School of Economics, the Royal Courts of Justice or the Maughan Library. In addition, there are plenty of shops, cafes, pubs and a couple of supermarkets a few minutes walk away as well. Finally, Chancery Lane, Holborn and Temple subway stations are also 5-8 minutes walk away and so are Farringdon and City Thameslink stations, from where you can access major London airports by train or travel around the entire city and region. We do hope that your next stay in London will allow you to better discover the wonderful area the apartment is located in. Again apologies for the inconvenience caused by the initial lack of hot water. We do hope, however, that you will be back to visit us to for a flawless and pleasant stay, like the one experienced by most of our guests. Thanks again for your trust and business.
